Yuki Nakandakari – Inca’s Food Trail
If you’re craving real Peruvian street food, this is the spot.
I tried the Monstrito at La Kaleta 28 and it absolutely delivers. Crispy broaster chicken, flavorful arroz chaufa, fresh salad, and ALL the sauces on top — no shortcuts, no gimmicks.
This dish is not about being light or fancy. It’s about big flavor, generous portions, and authentic Peruvian comfort food done right. Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and made with care.
Great value, friendly service, and food that hits the spot when you’re seriously hungry.
Highly recommended if you love Peruvian cuisine or want to try something bold and satisfying.

This was my first time here. I have had Peruvian food before and this place was really good. The atmosphere was nice and chill. As for the food, it was fresh. They make everything from scratch. We got one of the weekend specials and it was big enough to feed three of us.

I’ve ordered from here three times. The first time, the food was good, but takeout took over 30 minutes, while only two people were dining in. The second time, I called ahead, but when I arrived, they seemed to have forgotten my order and only started making it after I got there. Today was the worst. My lomo saltado tasted like the beef wasn’t fresh at all. It came in small dried pieces, definitely not steak, and was completely tasteless. I’m disappointed because I really wanted to like this place, but the quality and service keep getting worse. And just because not everyone who eats here speaks Spanish doesn’t mean customers should be treated differently.

I see some complaints about it taking a long time and comparisons about tacos and things. My wife is Peruvian and we have been to Peru several times. Order Peruvian food and don’t expect it to be fast because Peruanos llevan su tiempo. Disfruta tu vida cuando esperas.

How bloody sad that Dulcinea Bar and Grill is gone!!
While not horrible, this is nowhere near the Quality. It used to be look at these Carnitas it is literally pork gyro meat!!! 🙁
Very sad.

Chose a Peruvian dish with steak onion, vegetables, fries, and rice. The dish sauce was excellent. The hot sauces were all homemade. Finished with flan.

Stopped coming for 4 months due to the menu saying that dessert was part of the meal, but the waitress charged me for it. Came back today: $22 rib-eye rib plate is another cut of meat, but they have ribeye for an additional charge. Several items in the menu were not available. I asked for an accurate menu and just walked out and went somewhere else. It’s a place with potential; they need to try to keep customers.

We chose L Kaleta 28 because of the high ratings and they deserve 5 stars. The best Peruvian/Mexican I have ever eaten. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. Wonderful experience.

Their Peruvian food is excellent! Especially seafood. Trio Marino and ceviche are my favorite. My daughter loves their chicken soup and my son’s favorite is lomo. Mexican food is really delicious too. I recommend their tacos. Carnitas, al pastor and birria tacos are my favorite. Don’t forget dessert, the maracuya cheesecake takes me back to a tropical island. The portion they serve are big and for the price it’s worth it.
