I definitely enjoyed my experience here, my mother and I were looking at the menu facing the exterior of the building and someone came out invited us in and gave us a full menu. We looked at it for a second and decided that the food looks great and that we would eat there. Service was very quick, the food came out hot, it wasn’t overly salty like you would have at some places and everything tasted fresh. I would give them a five except my tamale was a little bit dry as well as a chicken inside of it. But it still did have a decent taste. No major complaints, I will be back!

Until now, this place is definitely the best. We went to there for take a luch for first time and all of there was amazing. We ordered Fajitas and the most interesting was that the meal was applied one shot of tequila and turn it on with fire. That one was incredible. We got fulled and absolutely satisfied

First time I had the shrimp special (shrimp, rice, veggies, queso) the vegetables were frozen vegetables, not fresh. They look and taste exactly like the frozen microwaveable vegetables you get from the frozen food isle. Soggy and waterlogged. I got it again tonight thinking last time was a one off but it wasn’t. The same soggy water filled vegetables were on the plate. This is a $17 meal and deserves fresh ingredients. I will not order again. Giving three stars bc the other people I was with got burritos and they liked them.. they had fresh, not frozen ingredients!

The food was actually delicious. We had quesobirria and a steak plate. I’m picky about Mexican food being authentic and I can say its pretty authentic. This restaurant deserves more than a 4.2 rating. We will be coming back!

This food was some of the best, most fresh Mexican food we’ve had in a long time. We came in super late and we still received service with a smile. Highly recommend the guac, street corn and enchilada with their salsa verde. The entire table enjoyed their food. Our waitress was super kind as well.

Really neat mexican restaurant with a full bar. Our server was excellent. Although they did seem a bit understaffed as she was also the bartender and hostess, apparently. Albeit, it wasn’t particularly busy since it was a Sunday night, so there wasn’t a lack of service or anything.

Service was excellent. The fajita vegetables were the best I’ve ever had. Typically restaurants overcook them to the point at which they are limp and slimy, La Joya left them crisp and flavorful. Great dining experience overall.

Good food & great friendly service! My partner ordered torta burger —he said it was good. I ordered the fajitas with steak, chicken, and shrimp which came sizzling & quickly. The fajitas lacked flavor for my palate but everything was fresh and hot. When we left the owner said thank you —a nice friendly Mexican restaurant on Trade Street in old town Greer.

We were met with a basket of tortilla chips and salsa, while we figured out what we wanted. The wine was good, fast service, I was a little disappointed in the Yolandas, lots of meat, but, I expected some kind of veggies in it too. Large selection of sides, the Mexican speghetti was good. My husband loved his dinner, but it didn’t come with sides. The portions were large. Give them a try, the place is spacious and has happy hour specials.
