built my first ofrenda this year and came to la jarochita in search of pan de muerto. i have been trying to honor the tradition respectfully and felt that supporting a local mexican business was the right way of doing it.
this is an authentic mexican bakery, i could tell just by walking in. the environment is very homey and welcoming, the ladies that run the front are sweet and informative.
one of the women explained to me that you grab a tray and your serve yourself the bread you want and then you take it to the counter.
so i asked for a few opinions and chose a bunch of options. i left with pan de muerto and a bunch of other pastries / bread.
it was very affordable!
everything is fresh and a lot of them are still warm fresh from the oven!
the taste is very good.

By far the BEST Mexican bakery I’ve ever been to. The bread is always so fresh and warm, and at a great price too. I try to come as often as I can, regardless that it’s a few towns away from me, but it’s always worth the trip!

Im updating my review to say that the rosca de reyes is so delicious !!! My family loved it and it was so big and great price !. Honestly the quality is amazing , I used to go to other bakeries back in New York and their rosca was dry and expensive so when I tried this rosca I was so happy that finally I could have that delicious Mexican bread that I have been craving for so long ! . Please dont ever change the quality it is so delicious !!
