Seriously, the seafood here is absolutely amazing! And don’t even get me started on that michalada drink – it was so good. The service was super quick and everyone was really friendly too. I loved the whole beach-themed vibe they had going on. Definitely a place I’d recommend for a tasty meal with a fun atmosphere.

We stopped here for lunch on a whim and I have to say it was one of the best meals we’ve had in corpus christi. I had the fried fish plate and my husband had the chicken fajitas. The rice, refried beans, crab salad and guacamole that came with the plates were outstanding. The fish was perfectly crispy and extremely fresh. The fajitas were were seasoned and amazing. My first visit to this restaurant. The atmosphere was lively. The service was friendly and fast. I ordered the catfish strips meal. The food came out pretty fast. The fries were hot and crispy. The rice was fluffy and flavorful. The crab salad was light and delicious. The Catfish strips were disappointing. The catfish strips had way too much and very little or no catfish. I wouldn’t recommend the catfish strips, but the rest of the meal was good. I took a picture of one of the stripes and see if you can find the catfish.

I was in for a quick trip to Corpus Christi and on my way to town I was looking up seafood restaurants and came upon LA Jaivita #1. So we stopped to eat there being that I prefer to go to the local mom and pop restaurants. Well let me tell you I was not disappointed one bit. Service was great food was great and the drink was very good. I will definitely go back again. I loved it. Money well spent.

This was our first time and we enjoyed it. The service was good, food didn’t take long to arrived and portions are a good size. They welcome you with some good tortilla chips and salsa. For appetizer we ordered ceviche and a sopa de mariscos then we had number 20 and substituted the fried oysters for more fish. Restrooms were clean.

Micheladas were very good. Dressed very nicely. 1st time seeing one dressed like that. Loved the chips and salsa. (Homemade chips) ceviche coulda used a tad more lemon juice (personal liking) however still delicious. The fish and shrimp plate was very good. Lightly battered. Staff was on point very attentive. Tables were cleaned promptly. Food came out pretty quick.

Loved the Caldo de Marisco ❤️It was everything I was expecting!!! Will definitely go back to try their fried whole fish. I love oysters. Will definitely order that too.
