Excellent spot for authentic Mexican food in Ohio. Service was welcoming, with plenty of choices in the menu. I particularly enjoyed their lunch menu, which runs 7 days a week until 3pm and gives additional value for their already affordable offerings.

A great little find on our way home from a visit to the University of Cincinnati. Food was excellent, large portions. Great service. Lighting, tables, etc. has a nice diner vibe to it (wish I got some pics of it), setting it apart from other Mexican restaurants I’ve been in.

Food was great, portions were generous, and the employees were friendly. This (assuming) family-run Mexican restaurant checked all the boxes! This is not a super fancy high end $30+ meal restaurant, just good quality authentic meals at a reasonable price. Will come back again!

This was hands-down the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to on this side of the Rio Grande! Expansive menu! The flavor of the salsa was a hint spicy and delicious. My entree was cooked to perfection and so good! Excellent service. Clean restaurant. Ample parking. The prices were extremely reasonable!

This is a great little family owned and run restaurant. I came here because of other reviews and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent and the people were nice. I will definitely be back in the future.

My fam loves this place and saved me some leftovers of the seafood fajitas one time. It had way more fish variety than I’ve ever seen from a Mexican place — mussels, crab legs, scallops, etc. There were excellent flavors and surprisingly good quality fish, considering where we are and the prices not being too crazy. Nothing on the plate was boring. They have an extensive menu that covers most bases for an authentic Mexican spot and it has a few creative dishes too. Portions are large (massive burritos) so you get good value. I sampled a variety of street tacos: al pastor caught me off guard by how amazing it was, and the meat tacos had much bolder flavors than the shrimp/fish ones. Both salsas were very good/complementary. There’s sooooo much more I want to come back and try. La Jaiba is a gem!

I really wanted to like this place. The seafood soup was terrible . I expected it to be flavorful but it was flat. It tasted like fish flavored water. The seafood was old and the snow crab shell wasn’t firm it was actually bendy which I’ve never seen. The soup had no seasoning whatsoever. The onions and cilantro couldn’t save it nor a healing dose of salt. It was very disappointing.
