I order the molcajete as I normally get it at El mariachi in Fort smith and as this being only my second time being here.so I thought I’d give it a try. Not only did it take 30 mins to get my food, but the Molcajete was dry and covered in oil, the cactus and green onions were slimy and chewy and not in a good way, when the waiter came to check up on me I told him that I was not happy with my meal that y’all really dropped the ball and who ever is cooking did a horrible job. The waiter said absolutely nothing to me and turned around and walked away, offering no solution or discount. As I was waiting to check out I also saw I was charged for a cheese dip with I did not order. Do not only did my food suck, waiter offered no resolution, and I was almost charged the wrong amount. I will NOT be returning. super disappointed as so many good reviews

The gang Chepe, Jefferson, Miguel, Efrin, and Jose Jr are amazing! The chip ladies are the best in the business. The bar is small but these guys will take great care of you!

This use to be my go to restaurant in Van Buren, given them more than one chance after multiple times of someone’s food being forgotten or coming out cold. The last time I went we ordered 2 modelo drafts and they tasted like bud light, maybe the keg got hooked up wrong, no big deal until our waiter (who is always hateful) argued with us about the beer not tasting right. We won’t be coming back to this location, I’ll drive to Alma or fort smith where we know we will get good friendly service.

La Huerta is good stuff! I have never had a bad meal here and it’s always hot, fresh and very good. My favorite is the fajitas. No bad choices here.

AMAZING food! I had the Parrillada and it had a very generous portion of every meat including shrimp. Chips were warn and salsa was tasty. Staff was friendly and fast in spite of being in the middle of lunchtime.

Used to id have given 5 stars, but when you change the menu and remove an item and somebody orders that item and its now entirely ala carte you tell the customer that its been changed and confirm they’re ok with the price being double what it used to be before you just assume that it’s just acceptable. Im very unhappy about this and honestly this is probably the last time we come.

The taste of the food is AMAZING, the service is great, and a month ago I would have given 5 stars no questions asked.
As of right now, I feel 3 stars is being generous.
The last 2 times I’ve been there, the food has been lacking. I get that things are expensive and companies need to make up for that, but the last 2 times I have gone there, I have gotten mostly rice with a small pinch of grilled veggies and 3 or 4 little pieces of chicken.
If I’m spending $40 plus on a meal for 2, I expect more than a small pinch of veggies and 3 or 4 little pieces of chicken on 2 pounds of rice.
I’m hoping this has just been bad luck on my part, because the place has always been great, and I’m willing to give it another chance, but if it happens again, I’ll have to unfortunately go elsewhere.
