Fresh and authentic! I enjoyed it so much. I took the build your bowl and it was packed with flavour that I like. Price is good, less than 17$ for a bowl. The staff is also very friendly. My first time there and will be back to try other dishes.

My first Ecuadorian food experience and I’m impressed! For less than 14$ I had a tasty, filling meal that was non-dairy and high in protein. The man at the counter was also very friendly and patiently explained what the different choices were, keeping in mind my food restrictions. Will gladly go again.

My first time having Ecuadorian food! Their bowls were delicious. Lots of flavour and I loved the different textures. I tried mote for the first time. It’s giant corn kernels and tastes like potatoes. Their queso fresco is not too salty, like at some other places I’ve had. Service was warm and welcoming. It’s in the Faubourg food court on the second floor towards the back. Follow the yellow tape on the ground, it will take you right there.

It’s been a while since I did a food review but this place was so phenomenal I had to jump on immediately. There is a reason this place has 5 stars with 200+ reviews. The service is friendly and warm, the prices for the food is literally unbeatable for Montreal, and the FOOOD! Absolutely unreal food. Packed plates with a make you own bowl option. The food was the type of stuff that makes you dance with happiness. I cannot get over the quality of the food at such a good price. An absolute must try in Montreal. 100/10.

Ecuadorean here ❤️
Thank you to the chef for bringing the flavours of home to Montreal. I love how the taste of Ecuador was delivered in a fusion style. There are little touches the Chef puts such as the sugar in the empanada that remind you of home Overall a great food experience for a reasonable price. Hats off to the restaurant for offering Encebollado which is very rare to come by.I will be back to try the rest of the menu, mil gracias

The place is a bit hard to find, it’s in a food court inside the market. The food is great, the place is clean and a service that we got was very friendly and welcoming. I’ve got a shrimp bowl and my friend a beef one. Don’t forget to add their homemade cheese toping. The portions are generous and the food is fresh.

Incredible hidden gem in the middle of downtown. As an Ecuadorian, let me tell you this is the best Ecuadorian restaurant outside the country I’ve ever eaten at. The menu is compact but precise. The flavors are authentic and specific. The technique, presentation and experience really brought me back to my childhood. I liked it so much I think I came back 7 times during my trip and I’d keep doing so if I lived here. Keep track of their monthly specials which feature incredible, limited-time dishes like fanesca, fritada and more. La Hueca is for sure one of the best kept secrets in Montreal that you’ll want to tell absolutely everyone about!

Amazing restaurant, new in town and will be a great addition. Delicious, reasonably priced mid scale food made quickly and with care. You can customize in any way you like and they have tons of options. I got their pulled pork and LOVED it. I will definitely be coming back. On top of all that, friendly people running the place 🙂
