Absolutely worth every penny!
From the moment we walked in, the customer service was top-tier. The staff was incredibly attentive—always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed, from sauces to extra sides. They even took the time to help us use the grill correctly and gave tips on how to cook certain items. That kind of hospitality goes a long way!
Now for the food—delicious. Everything we tried was fresh and flavorful. Even though some items are technically meant for the broth, we grilled a few of them and they still came out amazing. The meats were tender, the seafood was quality, and the veggies soaked up flavor beautifully. It might look a little pricey at first glance, but once you experience the quality, variety, and portion sizes, you realize it’s 100% worth it.
What really made the night though was the atmosphere. It’s fun, vibrant, and perfect if you’re coming with friends. Feeding each other with chopsticks, sipping hot jasmine tea, and cracking jokes while the grill sizzles—this spot makes dinner feel like an experience, not just a meal.

This place is better than I expected. The whole restaurant is clean, bright, and roomy. Ventilation works great enough that I didn’t smell too much of the bbq throughout. Greatly appreciated the service and way of ordering, our server was nice and professional. It was our first time so she walked us through how to order with tablet, location of the condiments and self-serve station. (By the way, the bbq seasoning on right side of my sauce tray tastes amazing, highly recommended.) Food came up quick after ordering. The only complaint was the power of the grill wasn’t the best in grilling thicker meat or the oysters with shell, the hotpot worked great though. Definitely will come again.

Recently visited for dinner and it was quite the experience. The staff was very friendly and the environment was inviting. During my visit it wasn’t very busy but the dining room smelled great. I liked that the hot pots were set in the table and not sitting on burners on the table top. They had a nice selection of broths to choose from. However my broth was very salty. So I turned more to the grill to continue my meal. I ordered the marinated short ribs. They smelled great on the grill but with the first bite again super salty. I did enjoy the wall of vegetables and I really enjoyed only having to take what I wanted. The vegetables were fresh and visibly appealing. I also enjoyed making my own sauce.

First of all, this is no longer the Crab House. Since January or February 2024, it is La Hot Pot and BBQ. It has changed owners, been beautifully remodeled, and is serving up authentic Hot Pot and Korean BBQ.
We called ahead to verify their menu and asked if it was as spicy as the real Sichuan stuff. The answer came back, “However hot you need, we can get you there.” They succeeded!
They’ve got plenty of choices and they aren’t all as spicy as what my wife and I enjoy. The place is immaculate. The people are great. Forget any Crab House experience you ever had and check this out!

Our 1st experience with the Korean Hot Pot style dining, and it was fantastic. The food was delicious, the wait staff attentive, and the place was clean & bright. All you can eat, but was so full after our first round that we didn’t get any more food. A really great experience and I’d highly recommend it.

Overall a very welcome addition to the Wheat Ridge area! We’ve been needing some hot pot in that corner. (And what a bonus that you can enjoy BBQ at the same time if your stomachs are wide enough.)
The quality of meats was really good, no freezer burn or anything like that. Soft, and an array of very soft fatty ones. Decent selection for bbq add on for just $5 more than hot pot.
Owner was also very cool & accommodating! We watched him go around & help teach people about hot pot or just greet/chat with them. Great mentality/demeanor to have to avoid alienating anyone not familiar with hot pot or bbq. So nice!! ☀️

Love this place. Hotpot and Korean bbq are my two favorite foods. I’ve been all over the Denver/Aurora area trying out different hotpot and kbbq places. Usually the places that offer both hotpot and kbbq are jack of all trades master of none. Not the case for La Hotpot and BBQ.
The hotpot might be the best in the city. Tons of options. High quality meats and veggies. Great seafood options as well. I love that you can order shrimp head on, head off, or head off and peeled. The broth was fantastic. The sauce bar had plenty of options.
The Korean bbq was great. The short rib was incredible. We kept ordering more. The meats were high quality and the marinades were awesome. The service was super quick. And the price was among the lowest I’ve seen for Korean bbq around town and it includes hotpot too!
