The food was below average for the wait time, they took 2hrs basically for 2 plates and some little fishes we had pre ordered. If they could have just warmed it up before giving it to us it would be fine but it was served cold. Not to mention for each tortillas, it was basically $1 each one. The fishes didn’t have flavor either. The plate “paela w/ mixed seafood” was VERY salty, apart from taking forever the food was not seasoned correctly. I ordered the “meat and shrimp” the meat was VERY chewing although it was seasoned well. The mix drink of the pina colada was tragic, no alcohol even though i asked for it. Each drink was $3.50. It’s VERY expensive to eat here and NOT even worth it. Since the tip is included the server took FOREVER to come get our order. I will not be coming back to location, please don’t waste your time!
I don’t think I will visit again.
We ordered 2 plates of fried calamari and it took nearly an hour and a half just for them to come out. And they were burnt! Plus, each plate was basically $25
Food here is expensive, let’s get that straight. we had 7 people and each person nearly got the same thing and totaled out to $200!
After the calamari, most of us had already lost our appetite after the main food took almost 20 more minutes after that. it was surprising as is was basically empty too with only another family there.
The lighting is another problem. Getting to the restaurant late at night is a pain. You basically have to rely on the signs and the paths. Most of them are either covered in sand or have leaves blocking the way.
If anything, this place needs to upgrade their hygiene. I nearly ended up stepping in dog poop while walking to the bathrooms. Speaking of bathrooms, they were nastier than an alleyway. Showers full of gunk and sand, and looks as it hasn’t been cleaned in a year.
If this is the closest place to you, it’s better to find a pupiseria or anywhere else that sells food.
I personally would never come near again and recommend to anybody not to come here
We came for lunch and during the holiday week it was very quiet. The service was quick and our food came quicker than they had said. I had a mojito with lots of fresh mint. Excellent drink!
I had the ” one pound crab w/ garlic butter ” and it was served piping hot! It was cooked perfectly and tasted like it was caught the day of.
It can get hot later in the day when the sun sets lower on the beach so be mindful if you wanna sit on the beach!
