I’m a big reader and contributor of reviews, so I was skeptical of making the reservation. We kept our fingers crossed and made a reservation for Easter brunch, yesterday party of 4 at 11 AM.
Hostess was friendly and prompt, sat us immediately. Waitress ( Tracy) came right to the table with champagne and orange juice.
She wished us a Happy Easter, told us the buffet was open and we were free to go when we were ready.
First of all, yes the room is dated… But ( remembering the history ) it’s beautiful.
The buffet was huge!!!!
From breakfast to desserts plenty of choices, and 3 carving stations. ( Ham, pork loin, and Prime rib)
All the food was hot, constantly being replenished, and delicious.
The salad stations were beautifully displayed, and the Easter theme was tasteful and well appreciated.
They had an Easter egg hunt for the children, and the Easter Bunny made an appearance. Overall it was a wonderful brunch.
We’re booking again for Mother’s Day !
Great Job, to the chefs, waitresses, servers, and management! You’ve earned a 5 star review!

What a difference a year makes! The experience here is totally different from three years ago when we went to a special Valentines evening. That experience included a frozen desert that had obviously passed its sell by date and was still frozen on the inside. The new owners have realized the great potential of the restaurants, and they have risen to the occasion. They hired qualified chefs at each restaurant and very qualified managers and now this beautiful resort gives everyone in the area a reason to visit.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at La Hacienda Restaurant at the Mission Inn during their Sunday brunch. From the outset, our group was given inconsistent pricing information, with each staff member providing a different rate. We also attempted on multiple occasions to make reservations for our rather large party and were never able to get ahold of anyone at the hotel. When we arrived to the restaurant, we were met with annoyance due to the fact that we were “walking in” with such a large party. This created significant confusion and frustration.

When we attempted to address the price discrepancy, our waitress and a staff member identified as a supervisor, Brittney, responded in a rude and unprofessional manner. Another waitress, Hanna, joined her, and both employees raised their voices at us at the front of the restaurant while we calmly tried to explain that members of our party had been charged different prices. To which we in turn raised our voices to convey our upset.

During this interaction, Brittney stated that she would go back and reprocess our cards at a higher rate, which was both alarming and inappropriate. Despite our efforts to resolve the billing issue respectfully, we were labeled as “combative” and “obnoxious,” which was unfair and inaccurate.

In addition to the service issues, the quality of the food was subpar and did not meet expectations for a restaurant of this caliber. Overall, this was the worst service experience I have ever had at a hotel restaurant, and it left a very negative impression.

If I could leave zero stars, I would.

We went to the Grand Christmas Buffet. Incredible! The service was impeccable, and our server. Isabella, was one of the best we ever had. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, yet not too intrusive. The prime rib and ham were perfectly prepared, and I never saw such an extensive dessert table. Tables! Free champagne and mimosas for all!

Celebrated my birthday at Mission Inn’s LA Hacienda restaurant. This is very convenient for us since we live in the adjacent community.

We both ordered from the Magical Dining menu, which offers an appertizer, menu item, and dessert for $40 with a portion going to charity. We both started with the coastal coconut shrimp. She had the shrimp and scallops skewer, and I had the chimichurri filet. We both had the key lime pie for dessert.

Everything was well timed. The shrimp appetizers were very good and the accompanied sauce sweet with a little kick. The main course was excellent. My wife gave me a bit of her scallop, and it was incredible with immense flavor. My filet was tender and flavorful.

Our server Melissa took very good care of us. Other than my filet being closer to medium well than medium, everything was cooked to perfection. Always a good time at La Hacienda. Enjoy.

If I could put zero I would. I go to OpenTable through the website for the restaurant to reserve for Thanksgiving and I get an error message indicating they cannot take a reservation. So I immediately call the restaurant Sunday and was told the new restaurant manager would call me back, a fabulous guy the young lady who took my call mentioned. So, Tuesday I call again because the fabulous restaurant manager did not call me and Tuesday at 5:30 PM they are not open. So I immediately call the hotel and they told me to leave a message with the new restaurant manager. So, she put me through to his voice mail and was informed that it could take a couple days for a return call. So now I have been trying to make a reservation for 2 and 1/2 days. Now I am thinking, if I went there to eat, how long would it take for the food to come out of the kitchen? Holy moly! When I was 10 years old in 1961, I could let this slide. But in 2025, I must mark this up to incompetence.

We chose this place for our Sunday brunch. I should have known when I walked in and there were only a handful of full of people. The food was GARBAGE. I ended up paying $54 to eat some fruit. They were out of shrimp..the only vegetables on the buffet was broccoli and it was flavorless. We constantly had to wave the server over to refill our drinks. ( she actually filled my husbands and never mine). Just a horrible experience. I spoke to others in the area after the fact and they said they had the same experience. Save your money. It’s disgusting.

Wonderful array of delicious brunch items. Everything from eggs Benedict to prime rib, as you would expect. Endless mimosas, and they aren’t shy with the refills. The setting is spectacular with views of the lake and resort. Great place to impress your guests or have a celebration.

We have had large family group Birthday celebrations at La Hacienda Restaurant many times! We love the Sunday brunch. The food is always great and the variety is awesome! There are many selections for all types of diets (vegan, vegitarian, meat eaters etc.). The service is outstanding, in all aspects! We have been going to La Hacienda Restaurant for many many years, and will definitely continue.
