La Hacienda Draper is a local, family-owned restaurant in Southern Salt Lake County. Opened in December 2010, it was the second restaurant founded by Esther Ornelas and her family. We continue to offer the fantastic flavors inspired by our family’s authentic recipes.
Informal, family-run Mexican restaurant with ample portions, booth seating & a full bar.

It had been several years since we had visited and had been excited to be back. While food was good I ordered a chicken chimichanga expecting a chimichanga with just chicken inside. When I cut into it, it was 90% potatoes and peppers (not anywhere in the description on menu) and the tiniest bit of shredded chicken. All I tasted was the potatoes which I have never had in any chimichanga I have ever eaten. When the asked our server she said yes that is how it’s comes, I mentioned that was hardly any chicken in it and was offered another chicken chimichanga. I declined as I did not want another potato chimichanga. It wasn’t bad but definitely not what I thought I was ordering so hopefully this is just a fair warning to others . We will come back as food truly is good but menu was misleading for sure.

Service was amazing, food was incredible!
The complimentary chips and salsa, the taco soup, and the chile verde enchiladas were all delicious! Zero complaints and would definitely come here again, and again.

Came here with family for a birthday dinner, definitely would go back! The atmosphere was great, a lot of people in and watching the game. Our server, Andre, was attentive and went out of his way to do something special for our birthday person! The chips had guacamole and salsa, the guacamole was really good and the salsa has great flavor, although it is watery. I got the fajita combination(chicken, steak and shrimp) with flour tortillas, and wow it was so good!

Visited La Hacienda in Draper and overall it was an average experience. The restaurant has a nice, colorful atmosphere and feels welcoming when you walk in. It’s a comfortable spot for a casual meal with family or friends.
The food was decent, but it didn’t really stand out. Portions were good, and everything was served hot, but the flavors felt a bit mild compared to what we were expecting. Service was polite, though it took a little while to get refills and check-ins during busy times.
Overall, not a bad place—just okay, with some room to improve.

Not the worst food I’ve ever had, but very far from being authentic Mexican food. Utah continues to disappoint with the food quality and overall taste that many people here have. Came here to try after hearing and reading good reviews, several of which said it was the most authentic in Utah.
Food was bland. Whitewashed. The camarones a la diabla was cooked in BBQ sauce. How is that authentic?? We barely touched the food we ordered. Our first warning should have been when we walked in and didn’t see a single Hispanic looking customer.
If you want authentic, there are better places. Where? I’m still trying to find them, but it’s definitely not here.

Very good food, it was a nice place to decompress after a day’s work.

Draper location: We reserved a table for my BD for 9 people. When we arrived, the manager said the table is still not ready, there were other clients dining. We waited for over 40 min, and the manager (Patricia) said they can’t do anything and we can leave if we want. We had our cake and all the guests and we ended up leaving the place, because of Patricia’s inability /unwillingeness to handle the situation in a professional and polite manner. Very embarassing to have all the guests (3 kids) be there, wait over 40 min and then leave to find somewhere else ((( Not going there again

Decent food, great service! I had the combo meal, the tamale was pretty good, the rice was…rice, the beans were lacking flavor, I like when the beans like this are served in a small cup with the juices so you get more flavor. The green chile tostada was fantastic!!!
Good flavor and heat in the salsa too.

Zero customer service.
We reserved a table for a Birthday, we came on time, and the table wasn’t ready because other people were seated, so called manager was justifying that the person who took the reservation was a new and didn’t know that they don’t do reservations ( we spoke with 2 different people), she offered another table in the middle, to the question if we can change after our table is free she said according to the policy, they can’t do that. . So basically, they did the mistake and not even trying to work with the customer to make it right, other than offering another table that we didn’t want initially and reserved specific one.we had to find another place asap because we has guests and kids. They have no idea what is customer service, .
We will not leave it like that….

A great choice! The food was good but didn’t wow me! The service was solid and the atmosphere was what you would expect. We had a large group (16) and were having a hard time finding a place. They made room and we had a wonderful experience!
