Food was really good, served hot and tasted good. The cheese dip is $9 and was a little too thick for my liking. I had the birria tacos (just the tacos, not the platter), it was like $10 for 3 tacos but they weren’t doubled like most Birria tacos in other places but they were still good and the au jus was a little different.

My wife and I went a couple times when they first opened in spring 2019 and the service was really slow as they were still trying to get their bearings. But ever since then, the service has been much better. All the food I’ve had there is excellent – smothered burrito, carne asada, enchiladas suizas, etc. The salsa and the hot sauce are homemade. I also love that they serve real-sugar Mexican pop in glass bottles – tastes much better than American pop. Margaritas are also very good. Great place to eat.

Surprised to see a taqueria In the middle of nowhere during our long drive! We are grateful that the owner let us dine in with our cat in his carrier. It was the best experience to have good food and taking a break on our almost 3 hour drive for a late lunch. Serving was humongous and very refreshing Jamaica! Gracias!

I occasionally work in this area but most in the mornings. I had not been hungry when going through. Luckily, after another appointment changed I happened to be hungry in Chapman KS.
I came into a very nice little road house. The staff is husband and wife taking care of customers. I was in after 1 p.m., so the rush was dying down. The menu had a lot of options, but I had seen a photo of the fish tacos and ordered. Let me say I had a disappointing meal at a Mexican joint in Ogden last week, a $13 lunch special that was the size of 2 McDonalds burritos.
La Hacienda did a great job. The tacos were covering a big plate, and the filling was barely contained by the tortilla! I’ll be back for more and scheduling more appointments around noon.
I plan on trying the Torta on the next visit.

I found this hidden gem in Chapman, Kansas. I always order the carnitas plate. It’s so good that I haven’t tried anything else. They make their own horchata and it’s delicious.

I’m not sure the server was very interested in having a table to seat. He asked if I was picking up an order go, then asked if I wanted to place one instead of asking if I wasted to be seated. When I did get a table, the food came out just a little warmer than room temperature. My chip basket was half tiny pieces. There was only one other table sat and the server disappeared for a long time so I waited for a long time to pay. Almost $30 for a chimichanga, bowl of queso, and a glass of water seems overly expensive.

Sadly this was a strong 5 stars for us for years. This trip home not so much. The food is good, ( well mine was good, my wife’s not so much, but now you are nickeled and dimed for everything !
I fed three people, was charged extra for a third salsa ? Then charged for two refiles, then charged for a refill of soda to go. You were charged for none of these things in the past ! There is no reason to ever be charged for salsa in a Mexican restaurant !
When I ask the young man, who sort of waited on us, about it I was told, ” I don’t make the rules !”
Bottom line, six Tacos, a small margarita and two Cokes cost me $55 out the door then they wanted a tip ! I have zero problem paying for good food and good service, but that is nuts !
Plenty of places around to eat. We won’t be back any time soon !

From probably the least picky eater out there this was the worst food I have ever purchased. It being a road trip stop I tried to play it safe due to how hot it was in the restaurant and just get cheese enchiladas. After waiting so long in the heat we were dripping sweat, the cheese enchiladas were so cold that the cheese was solid and rubbery and the sauce was cold and tasted like it had come straight from a can with no flavor. After the server was showed the state of the food and that it was completely inedible he let us know that he discounted it slightly. This all after my dad asked for a margarita and was told quite rudely to look at the menu and “pick one” to which he decided to get a beer that they never did end up opening for him. I did however decide to get a classic margarita which ended up tasting like lemonade with salt on the rim and I could not tell if it even contained alcohol. The bill after the discount and the terrible margarita and my dads mediocre at best meal with one beer was still just over $50 before tip. I would strongly advise against eating at this restaurant!

Great place for Mexican food. Friendly service, good food, very nice surroundings.
The smothered burrito will fill you up and the flan was great.
Looking forward to coming back here again.
