Oh my gosh – I love the food I’ve had delivered (Door Dash) from this restaurant. The chicken soup is full of big chunks of well-seasoned chicken breast plus slices of fresh avocado. I usually order it with a side of chipotle queso which I mix into the soup.Yum. I’ve ordered the soup many times and it’s always been consistent and good. Recently I got a half order of steak nachos. The steak was seasoned and lean – no creepy gristle or “rubber bands”. They’re generous with the meat, too. The prices are good and everything reheats well.

I came here with my friend and his wife after church. We suspect our waiter (named Noe according to our receipt, he was a VERY short Hispanic man) of having tried to steel my friend’s credit card. Everything seemed normal until he came back with the book with our receipt. My friend did the tip and signed the receipt. The customor copy was on top, which we made nothing of at first. My friend then realized he didn’t have his card. We though he dropped it so we checked under all the napkins, plates, in the cushion, and underneath the seats. We were clealy looking for something for a few minutes but no one came to check on us. Our specific waiter had disappeared as well (we were looking for him as well). My friend even walked over to the host counter and looked glanced around the computer. It was not until I later walked over to the counter myself and found his card squarely under a stapler. My friend’s card is a metalic burnt orange/brown so it blended in with the wood of the counter. The stapler was also covering the chip on the card (which contrasted from the wood/brown color). Our receipts were also not stapled. We were the first customers there that morning so no other orders had yet been processed. This made us suddenly suspicious of the customor copy being on top. We believe he may have been hoping my friend wasn’t a big receipt-keeping person and that he would have accidently leave the merchant copy unsigned so that he could write whatever tip amount he would have liked. His sudden lack of presence after dropping off the receipts (without the card) was also suspicious.
Food was otherwise good, but maybe pay “en efectivo” if you plan to go here.

This is a nice restaurant, tucked in with a strip mall. It has a full bar inside, with plenty of seating. The dining area is really big. My first time here today and I was satisfied, they make good Salsa for the chips, my order was very good, and the service was excellent. If your ever in this area, stop in and give it a try! 05/26/23 everything is still the same, even though it took them awhile to get to me today, I was still satisfied. I’m a very patient individual.

Last night we ordered 3 Kings Chimichangas with shredded beef. It was delivered at my address with 43 minutes late and the food as cold . At first, it was very tasty, but then in the middle of night at 4:00am , my husband, my brother, and I started feeling very ill with intense abdominal pain, vomiting, and diarrhea. I contacted the owner this morning, October 29, 2025, and received no response. That same evening, I called and spoke with Manuel, who said he was the manager of the Indianapolis Geist location. He was extremely rude and told me to sue the company La Havienda if I wanted a refund and hung up on me. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT AND BE CAREFUL BECAUSE YOU COULD LOSE YOUR LIFE EATING THEIR FOOD CONTAMINATED WITH LETHAL BACTERIA.

This isn’t high end hipster Mexican, this is a run of the mill American-Mexican restaurant. The best thing they have going is the outstanding price on margaritas( 16-26-38oz). The House margarita is ok but the Texas margarita is the best. Food is solid, fajitas are always on point, arose con pollo is my normal go to meal. But I’ve never had a bad meal no matter what I got.

They told me all the prices increased and I am regular and didn’t tell me how much every single thing increased. Not going back again. Spent $20 more than usual for the same things. Unacceptable and even with my coupon. Extremely disappointed as well as my friend.
