We come here all the time. The food and service are great. Today was our first time trying breakfast and we loved it. I got the breakfast platter with scrambled eggs with poblano peppers and potatoes. Delicious!

The food is just ok. I ordered a suadero taco and a rajas taco. The rajas were undercooked so they were crunchy which is not how they are supposed to be. The salsas all taste like lemon juice and don’t have any real flavor. My biggest issue was the wait time. My order was simple but waited 30 mins for it. I had to ask twice when it would be ready. I’m pretty sure they skipped over my ticket. No apology for the wait and the counter lady got an attitude when I asked for more salsa.

The Burrito (with steak) is my go to item. It’s affordable, good size, and they give a lot of protein. Also, their rice is very pleasant. I get it regularly, and the protein amount is not a one time fluke.
Their fried fish taco was pleasant but for tacos, I have a preference for another restaurant with less common options as well (IYKYK).
It’s a little loud, but that’s to be expected. I also saw my order come out, get packed, and had a bit of wait before they called my name. Unsure if they are just short staffed which cause the slower service.

Only giving a one star because of what I experienced today. I ordered a breakfast platter and a breakfast burrito for my gf and it took 50+ minutes us to get our food. The restaurant only had a handful of patrons when we ordered around 11:15pm and many ate and left after we ordered and before we got our food. I even went up to staff and asked about our food after 30 min and we still had to wait an additional 20+ min. I love the food from this place but this service was absolutely unacceptable and really questions if I should go back here, Taco Bar, or Ixtapalapa Taqueria.
TLDR: It should not take 50 minutes to make a breakfast burrito.

Love everything about this place—the menu, drinks, vibes, and service are all absolutely amazing. Their tacos are a must-try: incredibly delicious and impressively consistent every single time. My husband and I love La Gula, we are loyal ‘regulars’ there as it is our spot most Sunday nights. We always sit at the bar, but have tried most of the food there and its always so good and tasty! You get lots of protein for your buck and we love the staff especially Michael, Daniel and Pam!

I totally love this place. The tacos are awesome and the vibe is always good in here. The service is good too. They also have happy hour where certain items are discounted but it doesn’t apply to all the items. We ordered lot of items and everything was great. Definitely recommend this restaurant for good Mexican food.

2.8.25 This is still my go to spot for a breakfast burrito early in the morning. (8am-ish) The Chorizo and Egg burrito is phenomenal. I drench it in verde with every bite. I call ahead and place my order. The ladies inside are so polite and professional. Always smiling!

La Gula is my go to breakfast place on my day off after the gym. I use the toast app to order ahead of time. I typically get the Chorizo & Egg Burrito Its very yummy! They give you a few sauces but I love a Verde sauce.
