La Guerrerense: Savoring Sabina’s State of the Art Tostadas
Reviews
La Guerrerense is everything great street food should be — honest, bold, and unforgettable. Every tostada is built with incredibly fresh seafood, perfectly balanced acidity, heat, and richness, and layers of flavor that hit from the first bite to the last.
This isn’t trendy or overthought — it’s food made with deep knowledge, pride, and soul. You can taste the experience behind it. The sauces are vibrant, the seafood pristine, and the textures spot-on.
Warm, welcoming service and an energy that makes the wait completely worth it. This place earns its reputation and then some.
If you’re serious about food, La Guerrerense is not to be missed.
This was part of a food tour we did around Ensenada. No specific tour, we just put together our own and we were all so glad that this one made the list!
It was a little hard and confusing to find. We were looking for “La Guerrerense” but this food truck didn’t have great signage or maybe I was looking hard enough. There is a sit down restaurant just across the street with the same name, however this one is slightly cheaper by roughly $2. At the stand, they only serve tostadas but in the sit down restaurant, their menu is more extensive. Since we just wanted to try it and not eat a full meal, the stand was perfect. We got number 1 and number 7. Both were really good. Number 1 had a slight kick to it but it ended up being my favorite. They did have a spot to the side where you could add additional toppings but we chose not to.
Overall, highly recommend!!
Came back this past weekend and I was skeptical of whether the food would live up to my past expectations. It did that and more, the tostadas are delicious and very affordable, with a great variety of different styles available. Service was also incredibly friendly and welcoming. I also would be remiss not to mention the fantastic salsa stand, which has plenty of different tasty and spicy toppings you can put on. Salsas are also available to purchase by the jar for about $9.
