Social Profile:

La Guerrerense is everything great street food should be — honest, bold, and unforgettable. Every tostada is built with incredibly fresh seafood, perfectly balanced acidity, heat, and richness, and layers of flavor that hit from the first bite to the last.

This isn’t trendy or overthought — it’s food made with deep knowledge, pride, and soul. You can taste the experience behind it. The sauces are vibrant, the seafood pristine, and the textures spot-on.

Warm, welcoming service and an energy that makes the wait completely worth it. This place earns its reputation and then some.

If you’re serious about food, La Guerrerense is not to be missed.

SO GOOD.
This was part of a food tour we did around Ensenada. No specific tour, we just put together our own and we were all so glad that this one made the list!
It was a little hard and confusing to find. We were looking for “La Guerrerense” but this food truck didn’t have great signage or maybe I was looking hard enough. There is a sit down restaurant just across the street with the same name, however this one is slightly cheaper by roughly $2. At the stand, they only serve tostadas but in the sit down restaurant, their menu is more extensive. Since we just wanted to try it and not eat a full meal, the stand was perfect. We got number 1 and number 7. Both were really good. Number 1 had a slight kick to it but it ended up being my favorite. They did have a spot to the side where you could add additional toppings but we chose not to.
Overall, highly recommend!!

Like a lot of people, I found about Sabina and her seafood cart/restaurant from Anthony Bourdain and Andrew Zimmerman. First had her awesome seafood tostadas in 2014.

Came back this past weekend and I was skeptical of whether the food would live up to my past expectations. It did that and more, the tostadas are delicious and very affordable, with a great variety of different styles available. Service was also incredibly friendly and welcoming. I also would be remiss not to mention the fantastic salsa stand, which has plenty of different tasty and spicy toppings you can put on. Salsas are also available to purchase by the jar for about $9.

The food was pretty good the options great too of the different types of seafood. The service was good too, the guy preparing was cool, cashier a little short with the friendliness. However the taste wasn’t worth the cost and quantity in my opinion. Glad I ate where one of my heroes ate at but that is where it ends. Once is enough.

Street vendor with a bunch of unique tostada such as ones with uni into the mix. Saw a video on this place by Anthony Bourdain, and it was close by the cruise port so it was a goal to try it out. The ceviche was my favorite! The shrimp was so plump and tasted so fresh. For a street vendor in Mexico, it seems kind of pricey, but I didn’t have pesos so I was charged $40-$50 for 3 tostada, shrimp ceviche and two watermelon juices. Is that considered pricey. I’m not sure….. The portion sizes were decent.

Fresh and tasty. A little too hyped up and kind of tourist trap for what it’s worth. There’s another cart 2 blocks down where all the locals eat at and get just the same stuff for a little less.

We had been once before and really enjoyed the seafood tostadas here. We were lucky to see the owner there and she was really wonderful and gave her recommendations and even took a picture with us. The seafood was super fresh and very delicious.

We heard about this place as a “must go” in Ensenada and Anthony Bourdain said it was the best in the world. Huge disappointment. The ceviche was a little below average compared to anywhere else we’ve had it. I ordered shrimp aguachile and it was so bad I took one bite and ordered what my kids were eating. It was supposed to be shrimp but what I ate didn’t resemble a shrimp nor taste like shrimp. It tasted like a very fishy piece of fish soaked in mud with emphasis on the mud taste. I also noticed when we sat down they switched our menus to the American menus which I assume also meant higher prices.
