The place makes amazing food. Love there Pizza and garlic knots. The reason I gave 3 stars for service is because some times the girls working behind the counter really dont pay attention to your order. Especially when I order over the phone. Happened atleast 3 times already so it gets annoying. While in store there to busy chatting with each other while your waiting to get there attention so you can order. Not cool. Other than that great place and great Pizza guy he always makes it perfect for me.

Places a phone order today for
$42.50. Arrived at 4pm to pick up my order. Went to my car decided I wanted an order of bruschetta. Went back and placed an order. The young lady said a few minutes. Okay, no problem. I was standing waiting at first; normally it takes 5 minutes. We’re at 10 minutes now so I sat down. Young lady says to me “it will only be a few more minutes “ okay. Still waiting….. now we’re at 45 MINUTES! I CANCELLED IT at this point because this is absurd! 45 minutes for toast, tomatoes and cheese. She goes to check if it’s ready first, NOPE NOT READY. Mind you it’s been 45 minutes! The “ head chef” came walking out being snarky. Had an attitude work me instead of offering an apology. No sorry for wait or inconvenience. Mind you my other food is in the car ice cold now because it’s almost an hour now I waited for BRUSCHETTA. I’ve been a patron for over 10yrs. I have no idea what’s happening with management. Very disappointed I will keep in mind my treatment on today before ordering again.

I moved to Bayonne 12 years ago and I’ve walked past this restaurant so many times. So many other pizza restaurants come highly regarded so I never really gave La Guardiola a try. I do have a few “go to” spots in town for pizza and wings night. After recent disappointments with food quality, customer service, and bad delivery experiences, I was ready to try something new. We were really hungry so I searched for a close by restaurant with decent pizza and wings menu options and La Guardiola fit the bill. We ordered a Margherita Pizza with Plain Wings. The food arrived fast, fresh, and hot, so I was already happy. The pizza looked amazing and so did the wings. The wings were huge, crispy, and well seasoned. Hands down my new favorite wings in Bayonne. The pizza was good. The sauce was a bit on the sweet side where I like my sauce a bit more on the salty side but it was really tasty and the crust had a nice crisp to it. I am looking forward to trying other menu items in the future but La Guardiola is now my new “Go To” for pizza and wings night. So good!

The staff is super friendly I go on all different days and everyone is so kind and really good food.
I recommend the white slice, eggplant slice, penne vodka pizza, and their pastas.
Try the penne vodka with chicken cutlet or Alfredo with mushrooms and broccoli!

I enjoyed my visit to La Guardiola last week. My wife and I ordered a medium pizza and we still had 2 slices left which we took home. I would suggest the small size for one person, medium size for 2 people and the large size for 3 or more.
Staff is friendly, prices are fair and this is a BYOB restaurant so if you want to bring your own wine, beer, it’s ok. They do sell sodas and other soft drinks and the prices are also fair.
They have an outdoor patio which is open during warmer months but they also have an indoor area in case you want to dine in although I believe most people order delivery and take out. The restaurant still has a nice small restaurant vibe so you won’t feel you’re at a pizza slice joint.
They open Mon-Sat until 9pm if I’m not mistaken and close on Sundays. No reservation is needed but give them a call before you go.

Beware if you order from here you will not get reimbursed on any food that you ordered. I just ordered a grilled chicken Caesar salad. And the salad was drenched in balsamic Caesar dressing. I can not eat balsamic dressing at all. The guy that answers the phone is very polite and tried to help me but the owner absolutely refuses a refund. I wouldn’t care if it was a 10.00 but come on almost 18.00. Also I would like to add I ordered this salad about a year ago and it was not made like that at all.

The chicken francese is pictured here. It did not taste good on that day, not sure if that’s the normal taste, or if it was just a fluke. What I did not like is I saw one of the cooks preparing someone’s sandwich with no gloves, and then I saw the same person taking someone’s fried chips from a bowl and putting them into someone’s container with his bare hands as well. People should not be touching anyone’s food with their bare hands.
