There are also plenty of lunch specials, which makes this an easy place to come back to regularly. Everything from ordering to getting the food on the table felt smooth and well-run.
The only reason this isn’t a full five stars is the restroom condition. While I didn’t personally use the facilities, my partner did and mentioned they were not up to standard, which matters for overall experience.
That said, the food, value, and service were strong enough that we’ll definitely be back. Just hoping the restroom upkeep improves to match the rest of the restaurant.
Would return without hesitation.
I opted for the steak combo, and it was easily one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time for the value. The steak was grilled to perfection – tender, juicy, and incredibly flavorful. The accompanying beans were seasoned beautifully, and the plantains were just right, not too hard nor too soft. Every bite was a delight, showcasing the genuine Peruvian flavors La Granja is known for.
Despite the lively crowd, the service was impressively swift and efficient. Our food arrived promptly, hot and fresh, which was remarkable given how busy they were. It’s clear they handle even large groups with ease. The availability of free parking, though sometimes a bit challenging to find, and the wheelchair accessibility are thoughtful touches that add to the overall convenience. La Granja Le Jeune is truly a gem; a must-visit for anyone craving delicious, authentic Peruvian cuisine in a great setting with excellent service!
Several good choices and they have specials. If you are in the area, check them out. They are located near the hotels within walking distance.
The service was decent, but it took longer than usual to get my order, even though the place wasn’t too busy. Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience, but it didn’t have the same “wow” factor I’ve had here before.
A Disappointing and Overpriced Experience
I recently dined at LaGranja Restaurant and unfortunately, the experience was profoundly negative. While I appreciate that quality often comes at a price, the food offered absolutely no value for the premium prices charged. This was a clear case of inflated cost meeting lackluster portions and poor execution.
The Meal: The “Fajita Fiasco”
I ordered the Fajitas, expecting a hearty, satisfying dish, but was met with extreme disappointment. The plate was visibly unbalanced:
• Protein Scarcity: The dish was predominantly vegetables, with a surprisingly and unsatisfyingly small amount of meat. For the price point, this felt like a deliberate skimping on the main ingredient.
• Stale Components: The tortillas served alongside the fajitas were noticeably not fresh, detracting significantly from the overall enjoyment of the dish.
• Portion Issues: The accompanying sides were served in what seemed like comically small cups. This further compounded the feeling of being overcharged for minimal food.
Final Verdict: Will Not Return
To summarize, LaGranja Restaurant failed to deliver on both quality and quantity relative to its pricing. The meal felt cheapened by the minimal protein and stale components, making the high cost completely unjustifiable.
I would strongly advise against dining here. Given the poor value and disappointing execution, I will not be returning to this establishment.
