The truffle and artichoke-stuffed macaroni was unique, though overpriced for just three pieces. Desserts were the real highlight: the chocolate creation was divine, and the raspberry and sorbet option was very refreshing on a hot Paris day.
Service was warm and attentive – thank you Yannick – though a faint napkin stain fell short of Michelin polish. Overall, a memorable and elegant Parisian dining experience.
It was delicious and at the end we were very full. We particularly enjoyed crab entry that was very refreshing and flavourful. We were very surprised about lobster with red whine sauce – that was tasty. Macaroni with truffle and fois grass is delicious. Lamb dish for me was just OK. Vacherin dessert amazing.
We were seated on the terrace under umbrellas. It’s classic formal setting with waiters wearing suits, tables having white cloths and silverware being silver plated. In other tables were mostly French people. Funny enough at 2 other tables people were also celebrating birthdays.
It feels like being part of a painting… Great place to enjoy festive lunch.
We were led to a table next to the kitchen, in the corner apart from the rest of the dining room, and when asked if we could change our seats a bit closer to everyone else the answer was “but it is impossible” – no reason given. We assumed it was because reservations were full for the night, but as our meal went on it became clear the hall was half empty. We were sat like outcasts for no reason.
The 5 course meal was uninspired, mediocre food without any ingredient or cooking technique that justified the 200 euro/pp price tag. The menu was poorly explained, my parents’ wine was poured without being offered a tasting, and the bread was very salty. We were surprised to see a cheese course take up 1 course out of the 5. The cheese course was truly just 1 slab of cheese and a little mushroom side.
I wouldn’t waste any money or time or effort going out of the way to this restaurant! Best to try another establishment – we had pleasant experiences at Boutary (not Michelin rated) and L’Oiseau Blanc that blew us away.
We are back to this place with my wife in August 2022 and while we enjoyed the outdoor seating and the environment and the setup we found that unfortunately the food wasn’t the same as before and it doesn’t even have the same concept at all The restaurant apparently lost his good food and went down in taste, presentation and service and that was terrible when we found that our wine bottle was still half while the server stopped serving us in way we thought it was finished!too bad this dropping from 5 to 3 stars (3 stars only for the location) and for the high price we paid it do not match the food quality and therefore we will not comeback again
The quality and the service dropped drastically since we went there a few years ago. We had to ask them a few times to bring water but by the end of it we were just pouring it by ourselves. The prices were way too high for the dishes especially for the macaroni which was nothing incredible.
We took the menu so I would say overall the food is good but not worth the price.
I highly recommend without any hesitation this gastronomic experience.
