My husband and I came for dinner and everything was delicious! Our waitress was so sweet and helped us with any questions we had. We had the pineapple and passion fruit cocktails and they were amazing! For our appetizer we had tostones rellennos and they were excellent so flavorful. For our entrees I had a rice dish with shrimp, chicken and pork and my husband got a shrimp dish, both wee so tasty and delicious. We will definitely be back so glad we stopped in!

The parking lot could use some love but once you step into La Gran Amazonia, you will truly love it! My best friend and I had a lovely dinner on Friday July 11, 2025. Our waiter was Paul from Peru and he was very knowledgeable about menu and recommendations
My bestie is Ecuadorian so she was pleased with the menu, I particularly LOVE that the mine has pictures and descriptions of dishes. It also outlines the prices in cash versus credit card which is great work and in alignment with NYS law! Yay!
We ordered empanadas de viento to start, chicken and rice and seafood and rice plus a delicious coconut drink! Please see pictures as I am hungry just posting this!
The space is well kept, the restroom was clean and spacious, the atmosphere was just amazing! We got to share a dessert and I had leftovers to bring home which was great!
I am looking forward to going again and suggest you visit as well!

We decided to try this restaurant last night. Very pretty inside, great happy vibe. It was busy, but we were helped right away and in a few minutes got a table. They had entertainment, and they sang so beautifully. The service was very good. Very attentive to us without making us feel rushed. We had mango and pineapple delicious fresh juices. The food was amazing. We had arroz con pollo, avocado, fried sweet banana. Steak with fried rice and eggs. Steak, white rice, beans, salad, and egg. All the dishes were so fresh and tasty. We actually were so stuffed we didn’t have dessert, but their desserts looked great, too. I guess next time we have to make room for it. It’s for sure a local restaurant that we recommend and will come back soon again.

Great Arroz con camarones(shrimp rice cooked in shrimp broth with mixed vegetables) plantains and avocado.
Munchines( fried cassava croquettes stuffed with cheese)and served with Guadalajara sauce. Very friendly staff. Always cooked perfect and delicious. Definitely recommend as the food is a must try!!

La Gran Amazonia is absolutely delicioso!
It’s been a couple of days since going and I can’t stop thinking about how good the food was. From the quality to the flavors and execution of every aspect of food on the plate being perfection has had me blown away. There wasn’t a single thing missed in every dish that came out. I really can’t get over it.
I’m a first generation American, mother and father from Ecuador and some of these plates and flavor really brought me back to my childhood. But aside from that, it was just so damn good!
The service was fantastic. Food came out fairly quick for being a packed house. And no mistakes which I admire. That means these folks are really putting in the work.
The calamari was perfection. The cook on them was flawless. My kids devoured the plate. And notably the amount of calamari served was so generous! I’ll be back just for that.
El caldo de bolas were flavors I grew up with as a child. It hugged my soul!
The Churrasco Marinero was a flavor bomb! The steak and seafood were cooked to perfection, and I just could not get enough of it. Every aspect of this dish was nailed! Even the eggs which often get overdone were perfect.
The Calentado took me back to all those mornings after a family party going all night full of dancing and drinking. They hit all the flavors of the most perfectly cooked up dish from the prior night’s carne, frijole y arroz. Everything just thrown into that pan with an egg on top. Nothing beats it!
Then, the higos con queso!! Are you kidding me!?! My Tia visiting from Ecuador with a big ol jar full of higos, picked from their finca and soaked for days and then cooked in the panela. I was instantly my 10-year-old self again in heaven.
Brownie con helado… I mean, what’s not to love?? The brownie was so warm, gooey and delicious! Perfect ending.
I cannot wait to go back! This is 100 percent my new go to!

It was our first time eating at La Gran Amazonia and my family and I had a great experience. Our waiter’s name was John and he made everything perfect, thank you for your excellent service. The other staff members were also very friendly. Both the food and drinks were delicious, we will definitely be returning shortly!

The half chicken was cooked PERFECTLY! the pinto beans and yellow rice was sent from heaven and the berry drink did what needed to be done and I love that it wasn’t overly sweet, au naturale. Keep up the awesome work…oh yeah and the workers were phenomenal

Great experience, both the fried fish and ceviche was well seasoned and flavourful. We were seated quickly and the food came out very fast which we appreciated. Our server Paul was also very attentive and friendly. Not a lot of Ecuadorian restaurants close by but this one hit close to home!

Good place to eat but there’s a few issues when you get the bill, they include the tip with the final price ( which is illegal ) then they charge tax which it adds up to the sale also they charge 4% if pay with a debit card ( which is also illegal and a federal crime ) because paying with a debit card is the same as cash. Is someone decided to sue them who ever it is is going to have a good payout. Just saying….
