I ordered the stew turkey with rice and beans. The rice was fine but the stew turkey was days old. So much so that it was hard to even chew. It seemed like the had old fried pieces mixed in maybe from an order that wasn’t picked up. This was a waste of $18.

Are you looking for a Haitian restaurant where you can finally sit, eat, and not leave with your clothes smelling like you work in the kitchen? La Gourmandize is where you should go. The atmosphere is welcoming, the location is meticulously clean, and the staff is incredibly friendly.
I actually was able to conduct a business meeting there today and not worry about if my client’s clothing was going to smell like “épice” (Haitian spice).
I ordered “fritay” (Hatitian sample platter). It had “akra” (fried-Haitian-finger-food), “bannann pézé” (fried plantains), “griot” (fried pork), and a side salad. You probably thought I forgot about the “Pikliz” (Haitian hot sauce)? It was some of the freshest servings of pikliz I’ve had. Although it was a fried food platter, the serving wasn’t drenched in oil. The Akra and bannann pézé were crispy, not overcooked, and well seasoned. The griot was well prepared, soft, and well spiced.
I highly recommended this place if you’re in the mood for some authentic Haitian cuisine.

I was surprised that this was a haitian restaurant. I hate wasting my money and time on bad food and bad service, but this place exceeded my expectations. The food was soooooo good and the service was excellent. Try it, you won’t regret.

Not happy at all. We wasted $16 and drive 15 minutes for nothing, it’s not a lot of food for one. Look at the beans nothing but the juice was in the container. The food wasn’t hot at all. It was five pieces were five chickens beans and the fried plantains to were soft.

Rarely do I ever want to criticize or put down a business, especially my own people, but wow. I really paid $11 for a griot and it legitimately enough food for a 5 year old. The only reason I had to go here is because Chez Nous and other places aren’t serving griot for some reason. I have a picture proof of how little the food was. I’m only posting this so they can do better because that’s absolutely ridiculous, and also, no sauce, the pikliz was placed next to the plantains like nothing. Just sad and upset.

During Haitian Flag Day weekend, my family and I were dying of the Miami heat when we stopped by La Gourmandize. Reggie, the owner, noticed & made it his prerogative to go above and beyond to make sure we were cool and comfortable. Customer service was . While here, I was able to chow down and be in the moment (food was so good we ate before the camera ). Soaking in my heritage, my family, and my history. The food was so authentic and reminded me of the many reasons I love being Haitian . Big ups to Reggie for accommodating us!!! I’ll sing praises about this restaurant for a lifetime ☺️

So far, everything I’ve tried was very tasty. The Tasso goat and the Griot (fried pork) were very tender and flavorful. The fried fish was very good but super pricey, $30 for a small fish. outside of all the Haitian restaurants I’ve ever been, they have the fastest service, usually have my food ready in less than 15 minutes.

Wow, just wow! I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Le Gourmandize last night, and I’m still reeling from the incredible taste of the snapper fish. My partner and I were able to share the meal and ate off it for lunch and dinner.

From the moment we walked in, we were enveloped in the warm, vibrant spirit of Haiti. The decor was stunning, with colorful artwork and traditional Haitian music setting the tone for a fantastic meal.

oh, And don’t even get me started on the rice and beans – cooked to perfection! The pikliz (Haitian slaw /probiotics) was spicy, fresh, and delicious.

The service was top-notch, too. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive.

In short, Le Gourmandize is a must-visit for anyone looking for authentic, delicious Haitian food. Can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu!

Recommended for: Foodies, adventurous eaters.

Will I return? Absolutely, and with friends!
