We ate here for lunch yesterday. The food was delicious, and the service was great! I had a chicken taco supreme and I also got an order of chips and salsa. My husband tried the Enchiladas with rice and beans. It was kind of expensive but I would buy the taco again! I wasn’t in love with the salsa that came with the chips. It was a little to watery for me. The chips were really good though. Be aware that the charge extra to use a card there and there wasn’t anywhere to write a tip on the receipt. We had no cash so we felt terrible about not being able to tip. My husband loved the Enchiladas. Wasn’t a huge fan of the refried beans though. They weren’t like the ones were used to, really runny. I would definitely eat here again though! But bring cash!

I had heard the talk.
A new place. A better place.
Not Puerto Vallarta with its safe plates and soft edges.

The prices were low. The menu promised the dishes you do not see elsewhere.
I wanted it to be right. I wanted it to be true.

It was not.

I asked for a diet coke. It came without sweetness.
The woman said the machine was broken. Still she left it on the bill.

My friend ordered chilaquiles. They were buried in salt.
So much that one taste should have stopped them leaving the kitchen.
My burrito came small. Thin.

Men from construction sits eat here. That speaks to something honest in the flavor.
But the hand in the kitchen is uneven.
It rises and it falls.

I wanted a place worth returning.
I will not return.

**update, we’ve been back and still love it
Great place! I’m not a big fan of the local Mexican restaurants here in Muncie… But a friend of ours (who is from Mexico) told us it was very authentic and tasty.
We got 2 street tacos (pollo and barbacoa) which were great!
I got the al pastor torta which was really good. It had pineapple on it which was a fun layer of flavor.
My husband got (a massive bowl of) posole which was good too.
Didn’t love the salsa at first, but with the food they bring 3 bottles of salsa which were great.
Good, welcoming service. Hot fresh food with much better flavor than other Mexican places we have tried.
Definitely will be back.

We used to enjoy getting our takeout menudo and lengua tacos here until today. Got home with the menudo and it did not smell right at all. Maybe the kitchen staff changed, but it wasn’t right. The staff wasn’t too friendly, which was odd because my partner had been in there before. Also, my partner confirmed that after he purchased the soup, he noticed there weren’t any health code signs anywhere. I thought they used to have them before, so I’m not sure what happened with them…?

Truly disappointing when it’s really hard to find tasty menudo or odd tacos like lengua. We’re going elsewhere, or making our own tacos and rice at home

This has went down hill. The food tasted old like it was cooked the night before. Also, I had to pay for chips and salsa. Just everything had no flavor and was pretty disappointed. The comments down below were from a year ago. Sad to see this place go downhill.

Best Authentic Mexican Food in Muncie, Indiana. Everybody and surrounding areas needs to come here and definitely give it a try. I promise you, the food will not disappoint your taste buds. Awesome Place, I will definitely be eating here MORE!!!

I got three tacos. Tacos where ok. Im very disappointed with their hot sauces. I got three small containers and when I open them they’re where way to much water added. It didnt have a good combination or balance. It felt pretty much like I was adding water in my tacos. Hopefully they can change it and make them good if they can make it better.

Had the Flautas and Pozole- both were delicious. This is very authentic Mexico’s e food from the Jalisco area. The prices were reasonable especially with the amount they serve. They had a Mariachi band playing

The ordered food was good! Chips were a little stale but still snackable. The Barria tacos were the table favorite!

Food was bland and dry. The TV and radio were both playing loudly at the same time, making it difficult to actually hear either clearly. Waiter was nice, and attentive, but food was not just not good.
