We rode over to Purvis to celebrate one of our granddaughters birthday & this is her favorite Mexican Restaurant. It was our first time here, and we weren’t disappointed. The food was great as was the service. I liked that they had dishes that I hadn’t seen on other local menu’s. If your in the Purvis Mississippi area, and find yourself craving some Mexican Cuisine, then you can’t go wrong stopping in here.
Having dined at LA Fuentes again, all I can say is stop in and give yourself a treat. I had the Diablo Shrimp, and it was actually hot(spicy), and that is something I rarely find when a menu claims to be hot, don’t order it if you aren’t prepared for some burn. Service was just as good as the first trip, and the Chicken Salad Ronney ordered was really good too.

Excellent food at a reasonable price and great service!!! They never disappoint!!! Probably the cleanest resturant I’ve been to. I ate there tonight and witnessed, first-hand, a waiter that was great with children. They told him bye as they were getting up to leave and the waiter insisted on a good ol” fist bump from all three of the children. I highly recommend this dining establishment!!!
While I love and recommend La Fuente, I must say I’m very disappointed in the quality of the food here lately. The last few times I’ve eaten there the main dishes have been very greasy. So greasy that I got tacos and the hard shells were soggy before i could finish them. Today I had taco salad and had more grease than meat!!! I tried to put some cheese dip in it to thicken it up but the grease over powered the dip. The menu said a salad with a crispy tortilla bowl. The bowl was so soggy I couldn’t even cut it with a fork: They need somebody to do quality control in the kitchen before they send their food out!!!

The chips were tougher than they should be and the salsa was like water but it had a good flavor.
I ordered the grilled chicken with no tomatoes or tortillas. It came with a salad which was interesting for a Mexican restaurant. My husband ordered just a burrito with rice, beans, and sauce. He wasnt expecting the sauce he got but he said it was ok. The meals were hot, fresh and tasted good!
The lady that waited on us was really quick and checked on us like she should. She was great! The guy that seated us and took our order was really shy or maybe not much experience with the public.
Overall the experience wasn’t terrible but it wasnt the best.
I would possibly return in the future though.

This is hands down the best Mexican restaurant in all of Mississippi, and I would know! I’ve been coming here since I was a little girl, and even after moving away and trying every spot within a 60-mile radius, nothing comes close. The owners are incredible people, and you can truly taste their passion in every dish. No matter where I live, I’ll always make the trip just to eat at this exact location.

I truly loved the food, although, I think my chimichanga should have been deep fried instead of just being a burrito covered in cheese. I do know the difference! But omg, the Seafood and chicken nachos were so good. Absolutely the best I’ve had in a long time. Thank you for serving us. I know the lack of communication can be frustrating, I truly don’t mind and will be patient with all of your employees if you promise not to become frustrated with me. We will be back to your restaurant for some more of those nachos. Have a wonderful day and be blessed!
