Small, unassuming joint in New Brunswick, serving up comfort Colombian. Street parking.
Its one of those brochure menu places, can’t find it online and have no idea the actual names of what we ordered. We were struggling with the terminology but staff was patient with answering our questions. She also turned down the tv when we asked and let us hang out for a good hour or so. Thumbs up.
They got fruity milkshakes (raspberry confirmed delicious), empanadas, arepas and a whole bunch of others in between. Most of which is deliciously fried, tons of flavor, with a perfect ratio of crispy and chewy mouthfeels.
Pan de bono. Cheese bread thats not just cheese bread… its blow your mind chewy cheese bread. In a donut shape. It doesn’t look like something that will rock your world but rock it it will. YOU MUST TRY THIS.

Recommend : arepas fritas
Ok: garlic shrimp (shrimp al ajillo)
Meh: pandebono
The arepas fritas were good but could use some more seasoning.
Pandebono had a tough hard shell and were mostly hollow inside.
Garlic shrimp was good with medium sized shrimp and the sauce is a bit runnier.
They were out of empanadas when I went and I didn’t know enough Spanish to ask.
Small seating area inside restaurant.

Wow. Found this place since I live close by, and they really do have the best empanadas ever. 5/5 Stars every time. Perfectly crispy, never oily or soggy, the filling is hot and always fresh. The owner makes the sauces in house and fresh all the time. I have a tradition of going every Saturday because they are always so good. Make sure to get their early before they sell out!

The best cachapas I’ve ever tried. The masa (dough) based on real corn and you can even feel it when you grab a bite. The customer service is amazing. They are humble ppl that receives everyone with a warm welcome. Only thing is the place a bit small but we pray the business grow and they get a new place.
