La Fountain Mexican Restaurant was established in Utah in 2009 by the Ramos Brothers, who migrated from San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Utah. The hard-working and dedicated brothers worked for more than 15 years and decided to unite efforts and savings to open their first restaurant in West Valley City, initiating the achievement of their American Dream.

Took my moms here in hopes of enjoying a beer with some Mexican food. They don’t serve beer. Bummer but oh well. Our food was really good portions but something wasn’t hitting the spot. The food was good. But for what you pay and with what I’ve experienced elsewhere at other la Fronteras, I expected more flavor. Our waitress was kind but kept forgetting things like drinks and straws. The place is spacious, open, warm and comfy and I’m sure it’s nice for a work lunch or whatever but I don’t think I’ll be going back anytime soon.

My favorite place for Mexican food, great chips and salsa, great enchiladas, great burritos. Great lunch specials and daily specials. Pro tip: the Lehi location has margaritas, (fantastic, btw) while the Riverton location doesn’t. A boy disappointing but definitely not a deal breaker! Best part is that we went with a large group made up of all different types of eaters- vegetarians, meat eaters, gluten avoiders, and picky children and everyone was able to find something they liked and leave satisfied

My family has been coming to The Fountain for the past 5 years—it’s our go-to spot! The portions are always MASSIVE, the food is packed with flavor, and the service is top-notch. The staff keeps the chips and drinks full, and it’s a kid-friendly atmosphere.
I love all their specials, and the quality never wavers—consistently delicious every single time. Highly recommend the chimichanga platter with shredded beef, the Birria tacos (they give a ton of meat!), and the smothered chile verde burritos.
If you’re looking for great food, friendly service, and reliable flavor, this is the place to go!

Pleasant staff, very attentive. Food portion was great but flavorless, bean and cheese burrito tasted like nothing, no pork inside the burrito like other places do. Overall, I wouldn’t go back. I wasn’t able to taste chile verde at all. The place was so dusty, I was praying the vent wouldn’t blow on my food, you can tell they don’t clean the vents, bathroom was dirty as well. It’ll benefit from employees helping get this place cleaned up instead of being on their phones waiting on people.

Very delicious food. The staff was friendly and the food came out super fast but the quality wasn’t sacrificed. We got the steak fajita smothered burrito and a shrimp chimichanga. I would say the salsa could be spicier though, but I do LOVE spicy food. My cohort doesn’t have was extremely satisfied with the salsa.

Incredible!!! The staff was super nice and attentive but gave adequate time to go over the menu. They replaced the salsa just as we were running out. The food came out quickly after we ordered even though there were several other tables! The establishment is super clean and inviting! The side of rice and beans was huge and well worth the extra cost! Everything tasted divine and we will 100% be returning!

So I’ve never been let down here. Very similar to other local New Mexican style food. So I knew what to expect when I came in. I like their drive thru to go pick up window. That’s extremely convenient. The service has always been polite. I would recommend coming in. I would go with a smothered burrito.

Very yummy Mexican food and they have one of the best Chili Verde at this restaurant. Its always low key and fast service and they have 2 kinds of salsa for different tastes.
Make sure you get a side or smother your food in the Verde sauce!
