This place is truly a hidden gem. The service is consistently top-notch, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the food and drinks are outstanding every time. Easily the best Mexican restaurant in the area! This is one of those spots you’re glad you discovered and keep coming back to

The food here is absolutely delicious and very authentic! Small and quaint dining room that was extremely clean and organized. Our server was the perfect amount of attentive and very friendly. The prices are very reasonable as well. I cannot say enough good things about our experience there. Definitely will be on our list of favorites places. Would highly recommended!! 5

Prices and service were great. Everything on the menu sounds absolutely delicious. I got the ACP, would highly recommend. The flan is perfect. Texture and flavor were fantastic. This is easily the best Mexican food I have had anywhere.

La Fondita has quickly become our go-to Mexican spot in Cape Coral! The food is consistently hot, fresh, and flavorful, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The customer service really stands out — everyone is incredibly kind and attentive, which makes the whole experience feel personal and appreciated, especially compared to other places we’ve tried.

We’ve enjoyed both dine-in and takeout, and each time the experience has been just as great. Our favorite dish is the enchiladas verdes. The steak and rice are full of flavor, and while all the sides are tasty, the corn is one of our favorites. Portions are just right, too. We also enjoy the spicy salsa with the chips, but a milder verde salsa available if preferred. (Just a head’s up: complimentary chips don’t come with takeout.)

If you’re in the area, we highly recommend giving La Fondita a try!

Update 12-01-25. Still the best Mexican restaurant in Cape a Coral!

✨ La Fondita Mexican Restaurant – A Hidden Gem in Cape Coral! ✨

From the moment we sat down, we knew we were in for something special! We started with the best salsa I have ever had—made in-house from scratch, just like everything else on their menu. You can taste the freshness in every bite! ️

I ordered the enchiladas with rice and salad, and WOW—so flavorful and perfectly seasoned! My husband had the pork fajitas, and let’s just say we had to order MORE of that amazing salsa because we couldn’t get enough!

To top it all off, we indulged in their homemade flan, and it was absolutely PERFECT—smooth, creamy, and the ideal sweet ending to an incredible meal. ✨

Needless to say… we will DEFINITELY be back! If you’re looking for authentic, fresh, and delicious Mexican food, La Fondita is THE place to go!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

** PLEASE READ TO THE END OR AT LEAST SKIP TO THE END!!

I do not recommend this place!!
Opened for 5 months
Off to a great start
For starters it was chips with Salsa Roja
Chips nice looking great taste perfect amount of salt
Salsa Roja great spice but strange after taste I cannot pin point maybe Smoky, not sure how I felt about it. But that SPICE WAS EVERYTHING.
Disappointment# 1
I asked if they had any natural fresh juices and waitresses said Yes and gave us 2 options we picked pineapple
“Fresh natural Pineapple Juice” was room temp with enough ice just to water it down not to make it COLD!
Disappointment# 2
When the waitress came back around I asked her if it was from a can she she said Yes! Again not fresh or natural it was DEFINITELY DOLE BRAND from a can.

Decent amount of wait time for semi prepared food

Disappointment# 3
The Beans and rice were microwaved sent the beans back cold with a hard top from the Microwave
Rice was super bland and kinda warm more on the cold side tho, but cooked well and the appearance was nice and fluffy.

The SOPES the main course

Disappointment# 4
***The Shrimp ones they did not taste great and had a smell
also we asked for 2 Soped de marisco and got only shrimp Sopes.

** almost immediately like 15min after taking a single bite of the Shrimp sope I started to feel sick told my husband I think it was a mix of the warm drink with the shrimp, he failed to tell me he was also feeling sick from the shrimp sopes* I did notice a slight smell from the shrimp I just kinda brushed it off**never doing that again!!
1 sope de pastor and one of chorizo
Now they were great had flavor and def good.
Over all I the meal was not worth it when we only enjoyed 2 of things ordered out of 7
This will not be a repeat please to eat for me and after getting sick I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
I do love to eat and small local places so I’m happy we got to help support them and at least try them out.
But it was not it for me.

** soon as we stood up I started to feel like I was going to throw up had to drive about 3 min to find a circle k to have my husband run in and get me a few bags. As I layed my our SUV WITH CRAMPS PAIN AND NAUSEA.

I filed the bag with throw up and we are still with stomach pain and bubble gut.

Great place to eat. The server was the best, with a happy smile. The food came out hot, and had plenty fo flavor in the sauces. I had the Texas burrito the wife had enchiladas. A lot of food at a great price.

My husband and I came here for dinner on a Saturday after seeing positive reviews. Started with chorizo and queso which was phenomenal. I ordered the house burrito, he ordered the molcajete azteca. Everything was cooked to perfection with an explosion of flavor. The hostess, waitress, and service was impeccable. So kind, genuine, and helpful. The restaurant was so clean and had a comfortable atmosphere. I can’t wait to be back!

Quality Mexican food at Fair prices. Had a few items from the menu and the poblano peppers as an appetizer would definitely recommend.
They do only have a beer and wine license but make it pretty good. Wine-based margarita. With exceptional visual appeal and presentation.
