We went to a luncheon for Opera Southwest. My lunch which was a vegetable mix in pastry was very good. My wife’s lunch was so so she claimed. Not enough chili’s. Nice place for lunch or dinner. Service was good and the Malbec excellent.

Very cool place. Not busy. It’s definitely tricky to get the hours right. I ended up calling on Friday to get the hours that week.

We had the Chinese BBQ duck quesadilla (an appetizer, $8) and the Mesquite steak taco plate (entree. $12). The latter was very good and good quantity. The former barely had duck – about 4 small slices. See the photos. An added bonus is that they had their monthly art exhibit- interesting art and some very good hors d’oeuvres.. Cost was $20 plus tip.

I ordered the chipotle tomato bisque which was really good. Side of homemade bread that was amazing. My fiancé ordered the Dagwood sandwich but they accidentally brought us the daily special sandwich. We didn’t say anything because he was still really pleased with the sandwich. You can tell the food is fresh and made to order.

We tried the chicken soup and the Chile relleno. Both were really good and filling. The Chile relleno was large and came with a large side salad, and both were really tasty. Their hours are Tuesday – Friday 11:30-2:00, but they also do catering. Beautiful dining room with contemporary art. We look forward to visiting again.

A hidden gem! The restaurant make-over since I was last here has greatly improved the ambience. Great music, friendly staff, full bar and wonderfully delicious eclectic food choices. My first chicken-wild mushroom crepe! Plus, one can explore the National Hispanic Cultural Center after dining!

We went to have lunch. There was a sign on the door that they were closed for a private event. Nothing was noted on their website. Don’t let people drive from all over the metro area to find locked doors!
