I didn’t know that we have a great authentic Mexican food in this area. First time try it and it was amazing. Meat is tender, and my fajitas is flavorful. If you like spicy like me, don’t forgot to ask. Definitely will be back soon.

This place has one of the best machacados in the city. Café de Olla is delicious. I need to come back and keep trying everything!

Suppose you know Mexican or Tex-Mex, this is not a place for you. The food has too much black pepper and no spices. The fajita was just beef, dry, hard, and chewy. The rice I could not eat. Sadly the beans and chips were from the store. I feel bad about this review, but I spent $35 and it wasn’t worth it. Oh, plantains were good but I did not understand why they came with ranch sauce. Overhaul if you want some quick food is good but not to experience the authentic Mexican.

I’ve read most of the reviews and a lot are talking about prices. This is true the price is a bit high, but truly worth it. The food is seasoned perfectly. I had a beef taco with the best salsa I’ve ever had the meat was tender and delicious. I also ordered a chicken soup. Absolutely delicious and the portion was huge. Honestly I don’t mind paying a couple bucks more for quality food and quality service. Everyone is so kind and welcoming. I love coming here.

This little place is like going home to Mexico. The Carne Guisado was stewed perfectly tender and bursting with flavor! The Charro beans are some of the best I’ve tasted, ever! The flour tortillas are homemade and perfectly flaky and delicious! I love this place, family owned and operated by the sweetest people in the world!

Feeling ripped off…. food is good but $4.50 for a bacon and egg taco?! Dang. It’s not that good. I have been coming here for years and I know to support small local business and that’s why I have been coming here however the prices are getting ridiculous… $25 for 5 breakfast tacos…… probably not coming back here again.

I came to grab a quick lunch 30 minutes before closing. They served me a warm plate of carne guisada with rice, bean and corn tortilla with a fresh pico de gallo and green salsa. The food was fresh and delicious. I came back the next day for breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed chilaquiles rojos with chicken, huevos mexicanos, and a barbacoa taco. The food once again, hit the spot and our bellies were happy! The salsas are authentic and full of flavor. I will be coming again and highly recommend for a warm, fresh, plate of authentic Mexican cuisine.

Update: This meal definitely gave me food poisioning. It’s the only thing I ate, and I’ve been sick for almost 14 hours since eating it.
I had high expectations coming to La Fonda for breakfast.
Their potato and egg taco was pretty much a brick of solid potato with a sprinkle of egg residue.
The bacon and egg tacos barely had any bacon in it.
The migas had absolutely no flavor, and the corn tortilla was pretty soggy. Also, it was lacking any significant egg. Two bites and straight to the trash can it went.
Their beans are watery and unappealing. I could drink their beans using a straw. That’s how runny they are.
8 breakfast tacos and a small migas plate set me back over $40!! I feel ripped off, and honestly the only thing above average are their tortillas.
Friendly service, but I was definitely left feeling ripped off for what I got.
Save your money. This is not what you want.
