Social Profile:

La Floridita PDX, located in Beaverton, Oregon, is the premier Latin Coffee Shop in the region. Founded by Jesus and Ana, our journey started three years ago at a local farmers market, leading to our brick-and-mortar opening in September 2023. We bring our east-coast heritage to the Pacific Northwest, offering authentic Cuban and Colombian coffee like Cafecito, Cafe Bombon, and Cafe con Leche, along with pastries such as guava and cheese pastelitos, croquetas, and tequeños. @ Night our Latín café becomes a beer, wine, arepas and empanadas bar bringing Miami vibes to Downtown Beaverton.

I really enjoyed this cafe. I’m Dominican so it felt amazing to enjoy a good strong cafecito and some pastries. The croquettes were my favorite, as was the guava and cheese pastelito. The chicken papa rellena could use a little love as the chicken was dry and bland. I’d also love to see more filling in the pastries.

Like all great places they don’t stay the “hidden gems” long. It was bustling. We had to wait for a table and felt like we needed to eat quick to give others a place to sit. Coffee was good, tea wasn’t memorable. However, the food was very tasty and unique. I would go baked for any of the backed goods. So delicious!!

I liked this spot quite a bit. All of the pastries were pretty solid, the only thing we tried that wasn’t good was the chicken papa rellena, crumbly and bland. The guava and cheese was incredible tho!!

La Floridita PDX is a standout coffee shop in Beaverton, Oregon, and it’s clear why it’s become a local favorite. From the moment I stepped inside, I was struck by the warm, inviting atmosphere. The space is filled with natural light and lined with bookshelves, creating a cozy vibe that encourages you to slow down and enjoy the moment. It’s the kind of place where you can easily lose track of time, whether you’re catching up with a friend, reading, or getting some work done.
The star of the show, of course, is the coffee. I ordered their iced Bombon, and it was exceptional—smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of sweetness. The care and expertise that go into each cup are evident, and it’s no surprise given the owners’ dedication to bringing authentic Cuban and Colombian flavors to the Pacific Northwest.
Another practical perk is the convenient street parking right outside, making it easy to stop by for a quick visit or stay awhile. The owner is incredibly welcoming, and their passion for their craft shines through in every detail. La Floridita PDX is more than just a coffee shop—it’s a thoughtfully curated experience that celebrates culture, community, and great coffee. Whether you’re a coffee enthusiast or just looking for a relaxing spot to unwind, this place is well worth a visit.

So glad we made the drive to try La Floridita. Everything came out fresh and warm. The guava and cream cheese pastelito had the perfect flakiness. The guava was so flavorful. The marionberry pastelito was yummy, but the guava was my favorite. The deep fried taquenos were filled with savory cheese and were not at all greasy. Our favorite savory one was the beef papa relleno. I would definitely come back!
