Came to eat here today with my sister. The food and service here are excellent! Everything was warmed up, food had tons of flavor and the people working were so kind! Food was not expensive and it has a family friendly atmosphere to bring your kids. I feel like this place deserves more recognition so if y’all looking for some authentic Mexican/Salvadorian food this is the place to go! 🙂 I wish them much luck!

We went for lunch and got the carne asada, some barbacoa tacos, a pork tamale and beans & cheese pupusa. All of the food looked and tasted great, the owner came to talk with us, talking about some of the restaurant history for him and his wife. You could see the pride in his face on what they’ve done. There weren’t a lot of people there so it wasnt loud in the restaurant. Definitely wanting to go back and try out other dishes in the future

I recently just moved back to Dallas from Garland and what I miss the most are the pupusas from La Flor De Maria! These are honestly the best in Garland in my opinion. The masa that they use is so fluffy and they get it to be so thin so they can fill them with whatever filling you want. They serve more obscure Salvadorian fillings as well as the more popular one that everyone loves! Many other places that make pupusas have think pupusas not because of the filling but because of the masa. Here is it the opposite which is why I love them! Crust on the outside and soft on the inside. Trust me! Just come and try them!

Flor de Maria opened recently, and then Garland decided to work on Miller Road…. for ages. It’s time to reward the restaurant for its persistence and go and eat there.
I ordered the Desayuno Salvadoreno and it was marvelous. Creamy, long-sliced sweet plantains, perfect eggs, ranchero style, lovely beans, and the crema. THAT was the star of the show, with the distinct flavour.
The coffee was hot, fresh and tasted great, and service constantly drops by to refill.
A massive breakfast I couldn’t finish, chips and salsa, coffee and two flan came to just $20 before tip. This is a sparkling gem on Miller in Garland, just East of Garland Ave. GO THERE!
