It was worth the drive. Downfall was no seating area so you have to take it with you. However, they were super courteous and had a table there and said we should sit down and eat it there. The lady that took our order was fabulous. Took the time to explain things and also gave us a special deal. Best ribs I’ve had in a long time. They also had spaghetti turkey as a side dish. Never heard of it but it was fabulous and the big beans were perfect. Highly recommend this place.

La Flava is a super cute little spot in North St. Louis that is cranking out some incredibly tasty Midwest BBQ.
I stopped in for dinner and got the rib tips and green beans and baked beans along with one smoked chicken wing because my brother told me they are amazing. My brother did not lie. The smoked wing’s meat practically fell off the bone and the smoke flavor was so thick and rich, it makes buffalo wings taste like paper. The rib tips were also beyond delicious with a smoky mild spiciness that made my stomach smile. The green beans were perfectly seasoned and very savory: you’d never know they are good for you. And finally, the baked beans nailed the meal due to their sweetness combined with their spiciness … truly a master cook prepared these because combining sweet with heat makes both flavors come to life.
In short, I wouldn’t hesitate to eat here again, and if you are looking for incredible food that might just be better than your own home cooking, give La Flava a try.

I had a taste for BBQ and took a chance on this place. I was greeted before I walked in the building. Ordered rib tips with potato salad and banana pudding. Customer service A1, very attentive and friendly. They even rang the bell for me as a first timer! Food was reasonably priced. The wait was 15-20 min. This is not a dine-in spot, however; there are waiting chairs. The meat is not dry! Very tender, gristle and all. I love a good bbq sauce sopped up piece of bread and I had 2! The potato salad is definitely homemade. Delicious. Banana pudding is really good as well. I was not disappointed.

Food was AMAZING! I got the beef ribs with jerk sauce, spaghetti and green beans. Food was hot, fresh and very delicious! Customer service was superb friendly, extremely welcoming and most importantly PROFESSIONAL! This was my second time stopping in to the black owned establishment. I’m a customer for life. Nice clean location as well. I spent $23 for a plate and it well worth it. I got 2 BIG meaty beef rips! Meat fell off the bones tender!! Man just go check them out. You will not be disappointed!

This is the 2nd time I’ve tried them. Very over seasoned. I got the rib tips and had no meat just bones. They may need to cut the meat different or something. I only stopped because the place around the circle was closed. My bad! Never again. My mom said where you get this shit at and when I told her she was like nope. I’ve never liked that place. Friendly staff with a straight forward menu. These are the BEST ribs and wings in STL. I am working my down the menu but turkey legs are always sold out and they look amazing. PLEASE order banana pudding also.

This place had TRUE BBQ! The ribs fell off the bone, the food was hot and made to order, and there was more flavor than we knew what to do with. The folks that run the place are amazing and so friendly. Big Jigga makes the BEST fried chicken and jerk chicken I have ever had. It’s hot, it’s crispy, and the seasoning he puts on it is perfection! We would happily drive the 15 hours from New Mexico to eat here again. It puts the other St. Louis BBQ I’ve had to shame.
