La Fiesta Bakery is top tier when it comes to pastries, and I’m honestly surprised it’s being slept on. Yes, it may be a bit pricey, but you truly get what you pay for. In my opinion, this is the most delicious bread in Southern New Mexico—everything is fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. On top of that, Valerie, the young girl at the counter, is an absolute sweetheart. She takes real pride in her work, and it shows in the service. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Old school baking artistry, truly. Their creations are hand-made. The smells & colors on display, beautiful.

The young lady working in the morning gave a homeless man a bag of bread as he entered the store. An act of kindness.

This is the BEST place to get donuts in town. When I bring these into the office for coworkers, it’s like a race to the donut box. So good, I will drive across town to get these on a weekend morning. They have a huge selection of donuts and other assorted baked goods.

Nice young lady at front. Donuts fresh and delicious. I only wish they would bring back sugar free pastries.

I just bought a raspberry filled donut. When I tried it, it had no filling whatsoever!

I called the bakery 6 times and their answering machine always picked up. It had a message from their hours of operation during the Christmas and New Year hours!

The fact that their machine has not been updated or the fact that they don’t answer their phone during business hours is a huge disappointment. I made a special trip just to give them my business because I wanted to support a local business. Unfortunately, they lost my business.

I was looking for something other than Dunkin doughnuts (which I think very little of). After reading through the reviews of the local bakeries, I picked La Fiesta Bakery and I’m glad I did.

I arrived and there was no wait. The employees keep it moving so the most time you spend in there is choosing what you want. I chose the raised glaze, the glazed buttermilk, and the chocolate cake doughnuts. They all exceeded my expectations. The raised glaze was light and fluffy with the perfect amount of glaze. The glazed buttermilk was a little dense as you would expect a buttermilk doughnut but still light and fluffy with the crispy exterior. The chocolate cake was nice as it was a touch larger than other cake doughnuts you find but the fluffiness was there along with the slightly crisp exterior and chocolate icing.

I’m surprised this bakery isn’t larger than it is because they make Dunkin’s doughnuts look like what you find in a supermarket which is mediocre at best. I think when I’m done sampling the doughnuts, I’ll start sampling the Mexican pastries. If the reviews are as on point as the doughnuts, I’ll be busy with this bakery for a long time.

La Fiesta Bakery, you have a new fan!
