I absolutely love La Fiesta on Central Ave in Colonie! This place is a true gem for authentic Mexican cuisine in the Capital Region. From the moment you walk in, the lively and colorful atmosphere makes you feel like you’re at a real fiesta – complete with festive decor and upbeat music.
The food is outstanding! The chips and salsa are fresh and complimentary right when you sit down, and their guacamole is some of the best I’ve had. I highly recommend the sizzling fajitas – they’re packed with flavor, tender meats, and fresh veggies. The portions are generous, so you’ll definitely have leftovers (or not, because it’s that good!). Their margaritas are top-notch too – try the mango or house special for a perfect pairing.
Service is always friendly and attentive, even when they’re busy. The staff makes you feel welcome, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity you get.
Whether it’s a family dinner, date night, or celebration, La Fiesta never disappoints. It’s my go-to spot for Mexican food in the area – highly recommended!

Had dinner with a large group for my birthday recently and it was perfect. The food is always fantastic, food for a table of 10 on a Saturday night did not take long whatsoever and the staff was wonderful! Love this place and the staff, thank you so much for an awesome birthday dinner!

La Fiesta has been the location of my husband and my’s first dinner date, the caterer to our bridal shower, and the go-to spot for countless celebrations, hang outs, and family get togethers. The food is absolutely delicious, service is fast and efficient, the family is wonderful, the drinks are strong, the chips endless, and the dining room is always bright and cheery.
Some of our favorite menu items include cheese dip with chorizo (this isn’t on the menu but you can ask for it!) steak quesadillas, pollo chipotle, and dos amigos.
Just writing this makes me want to go back again soon. Nothing else in the area compares, La Fiesta is the best Mexican restaurant in the area.

The food here was all right. I was surprised to see the great reviews. The chicken had a bit too much salt. A friend who got the cheese sauce on top of the chicken said that the sauce tasted like something out of a can. Would not stop here agaib.

Food and service were both fantastic. Quality Mexican food for sure! Will return again if we are ever in the area. Only bad part about the dining experience was that we sat outside on the covered patio and were surrounded by bees the entire time. Luckily no one got stung but made for an uncomfortable dining experience.

Really great Mexican restaurant! A little lack of flavour however super friendly staff, plenty of parking and a nice atmosphere! Good prices too, paid 19$ for 3 birria tacos and chips. Will be back!!

Excellent food and a fun experience. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to La Fiesta. I actually intended to go to a different Mexican place, so our visit was a happy mistake. I enjoyed the gaucemole made at the table and the complementary chips and salsa were fresh and delicious. They usually have a few dishes that can be made vegan, but they were out of impossible meat, so I was left with one option and kind of bummed. Well, it turned out to be absolutely scrumptious! My husband had the same and the dish was even more-so not his cup of tea and he loved it. The server was friendly, but I think his shift ended while we were there, so we did have to ask another server for our check. Overall, a really positive experience and a place I hope to return to!

What a place and omg their margaritas are fab!! It was crowded so if you don’t want to have a waiting time period on a Friday or Saturday night, its safe to have a reservation though you wouldn’t have to wait much longer if you do a walk in. I went with friends and family. the best thing is their DJ combined with margaritas. Food is nice… if you want some fun time, this is a place for you.
