We went to a friend’s 60th birthday party at this restaurant. The carpaccio was very fresh tasting. The fettuccine bolognese was nice. The rack of lamb was juicy and very tasty. The tiramisu was a nice way to finish. Robert.the GM and Stephen gave us the best service. Min auto-gratuity for groups is 18%, fair enough for their service standard. I highly recommend anyone looking to book a large party to come to Le Fenice Tuscan Grill.

La Fenice is incredible, ate here for the first time on Valentine’s day. Very comfortable setting staff was beyond friendly and food was incredible! Would highly recommend to anyone. If you ask me to find something wrong with this place you’ll be waiting a while because I had no complaints at all. Incredible thanks again to the staff!

The pasta here was on the saltier side, compared to other places I’ve been food quality was below average especially for the price.

Service was quick but that was also because the place was otherwise empty.

Tiramisu was also below average.

Took my husband for his birthday dinner here. Our server was wonderful. The food was exceptional. The food was authentic, fresh and perfectly prepared. It was comparable to our experience in Italy. My husband also got a candle on his dessert which was a nice surprise. The only room for improvement would be to space out diners. The restaurant was not busy when we went but the had all 5 occupied tables were beside each other and it got quite loud at times. The diners were a mix of walk ins and reservations.

Went here for a Friday night dinner reservation, though it turned out the place was pretty empty. We probably didn’t need to book in advance. After being seated, we were only given the regular menus and had to specifically ask for the Summerlicious dinner menu, even though they confirmed they were offering it. That felt a bit off. You’d expect them to promote it upfront.

They started us off with warm-ish bread and butter. Bread is one of those small but telling details. It’s your first impression of the meal, yet so many places seem to treat it as an afterthought. This one didn’t stand out.

For the appetizer, I had the Bouillabaisse. It was okay, but it barely had any actual broth — and Bouillabaisse is a soup, after all. The calamari in it was also bland and needed more seasoning overall.

For the main course, I went with the Surf and Turf. It was fine. I asked for the steak rare and it was cooked properly, which I appreciated. The scallops, however, were unusually small – not sure why they chose that type. They also placed a sprig of thyme on top as a garnish, which felt a bit unrefined since it wasn’t integrated into the dish and didn’t add much.

For dessert, I had the chocolate raspberry tartufo. It was just okay. Nothing memorable, more like something to check the dessert box. I also tried the sorbet, which tasted a lot like a basic popsicle.

All in all, the food didn’t leave much of an impression. I wouldn’t come back for the food alone. I don’t think the cost is appropriate for what I got.

Came here for an early Valentine’s Day dinner as my wife’s parents had given us gift cards after enjoying their previous experience here.

The service was fine, and food was okay. I would probably have given them a 3 star rating except for when we went to pay and use our $80 in gift cards, they simply said sorry our management has changed and these are now all void.

While I understand management changes, I think it would be fair to say they could have offered 10% or 15% off, or at the very least say hey we’ll comp your desert. This would be common courtesy for any restaurant to at least offer something.

I don’t think it’s right for you to use “new management” to void any gift cards that were purchased at your restaurant considering the name, location, logo, everything is exactly the same.

All this to say, I think for a half decent meal at best and that kind of treatment toward customers when your restaurant is almost empty says a lot.

I wouldn’t recommend as there are far better Italian options around downtown.

Another wonderful meal and memorable dining experience enjoyed at La Fenice on King Street West in the heart of our theatre district, across the street from TIFF, offering diners a warm and cozy ambience; friendly and highly attentive service and delicious food. My favourite is the Fettuccine Salmon and for dessert the Tiramisu made in-house.

I was visiting Toronto from New York and decided to try La Fenice, hoping for a great Italian meal in the heart of the city. While I’ll say the service was excellent-the staff were attentive, polite, and professional—the food was a major letdown, especially given the high price point.

I ordered the Fettuccine Mushroom which was overcooked and too salty. You could tell the Parmesan was low quality- it had a gritty texture and didn’t melt like authentic parmigiano reggiano which I expected when paying $33 for a vegetarian pasta! Also, they don’t make their own fresh pasta which again was disappointing for the price.

Sadly, La Fenice just didn’t deliver. Between the uninspired, low quality food and inflated prices, I wouldn’t return and understand why it was so empty on a Saturday night.

Nice spot on King, compared to a lot of places on King the food quality was great. They have good selection of seafood items on the menu so I’ll be returning for some seafood again. All of the dishes were good and also desserts.

Our server was very attentive and friendly. Thank you

The food and atmosphere was 5 stars. I feel that service was disappointing.
I came before the movie and my partner and I ordered 3 dishes. Everything tasted amazing and I’d highly recommend the food.
Service was disappointing. It started good with someone greeting us and offering to take our jackets. Then things really went down hill. I’ll note there was a bigger business table near us which had taken up 12 ish seats…
So our issues with the service – when given the specials it was powered through. No delicious adjectives just bleh. But some of the items sounded good, tried to ask for them repeated and server walked away. Our water wasn’t refilled. My partner wasn’t offered another glass of sparkling wine. Between each interaction with the server there was a 10 minute wait… And everyone else seemed too focused on the business group.
Overall the food was spot on, good depth of flavours, past perfect doneness, and just the right amount of sauce.
Service needs to improve and every table needs attention.
