The ladies in the kitchen really know their stuff! The quiet young man that operates the register and does the waitering is honestly so sweet and is genuinely concerned with your happiness with everything while you’re there. It’s a small family-run business and oftentimes I’ll see the grandfather sitting outside smiling and waving to you as you come in. I feel like a family member when I sit down to eat. You can’t get that at some big chain restaurant. I highly recommend you come here and experience this for yourself! Fair prices for some of the best Mexican food ever….and let’s not forget the amazing service and cleanliness of this establishment. If I could give 10 stars I would!!!

Cozy and inviting restaurant right in the heart of Kenosha. Breakfast was quite good, chorizo & eggs. Little heavy on the chorizo, but rolled up in a tortilla with potatoes it was really good. Potatoes were cooked well, wish they had a little more onions. Pork chimichanga was overall good too. I’ll come back to sample more food! Friendly service, speedy food prep and fair prices.

This place knocked it out of the park. Appetizers were perfect. Salsa was amazing, guac may be the best I’ve ever had. Been trying to think of better guac and I can’t think of any.
Entrees were on par or better than our favorite Mexican restaurant in illinois. The staff was friendly, and our order was 100% accurate.
Will definitely order from here again!

5 stars!!! I was born and raised in San Antonio, only place for miles that can cook Mexican food the way is was invented. Excellent food excellent service. Have not been here in 2 months and they still know my order exactly. You know that is cool. Salsa is legit. Fresh ingredients and Barbacoa is on point. Been numerous times and never once disappointed. Love the people there and the food. I go here to feel good and remember Texas. Thank you La Fe Cafe!!!!!!

Today, I tried caldo de pescado (fish soup/stew). It was full of flavor, large portions of fish and vegetables with a wonderful broth. If you need more heat, they have several additional add on options. My partner ordered simple scrambled eggs with Mexican potatoes and refried beans.
Everything was wonderful to sight, aroma and taste. Service is superb. I know things might get delayed a bit when the place is crowded, but La Fe is worth it. I know I will be back.

This place serves authentic Mexican food. I had the chile pasilla with steak, rice and beans. It was just like my Mom makes. Will always come back for more!
