I had a fantastic experience at La Farm, I was treated well and offered fantastic service from Stevie. The baked goods we purchased were fantastic, and everyone that had something agreed. You’re not bopping in to a grocery store bakery for a cellophane wrapped loaf of bread, you’re shopping at an artisan bakery – so set that expectation for yourself – but I thought prices were entirely reasonable. We will be back!

I recently visited La Farm Bakery while in town visiting family for the holidays. On Friday, January 2, 2026, around 4:50 PM, my cousin, my daughter, and I stopped in with the intention of purchasing a large order to take back home.

Upon entering, the bakery was clean and smelled wonderful. Unfortunately, that’s where the positive experience ended. The fresh inventory was extremely limited, and more importantly, there was a complete lack of customer service.

An employee was behind the counter appearing to clean or break down the espresso machine. We stood in the store for approximately five minutes without any acknowledgment—no greeting, no eye contact, nothing. Due to this, my cousin eventually left the store. My daughter and I stayed a bit longer, hoping the employee would engage with us.

Several minutes later, the employee briefly turned and said, “Let me know when you’re ready,” without making eye contact, then immediately turned back around. At that point, I had completely lost interest in making a purchase.

As someone who works in customer service, I found this experience unacceptable. After leaving, I checked the hours online and saw that the bakery closes at 5:00 PM. While I understand closing procedures, that does not excuse the absence of basic customer service while the store is still open.

A simple greeting or a brief explanation—such as, “We’re nearing closing and inventory is limited, but we do have a few great options available”—would have gone a long way. Customer service truly is that simple.

Poor service is one of the fastest ways businesses—both small and large—lose customers. Regardless of how good a product may be, I don’t believe in investing my money where customers are made to feel invisible or unwelcome.

I visit my family often, but based on this experience, I have no desire to return, no matter how good the product may be. Atmosphere and product mean very little when customer service falls short.

Another place that doesn’t do breves, but the latte was excellent, and the morning bun was even better than I ever could have imagined! Looking forward to trying more of what they have to offer!

We are weekly customers of La Farm for their sourdough bread. Today I tried the ham and cheese croissant for almost $8 after tax. I was expecting ham and cheese. Well when I cut it in half to my surprise, there was barely any ham and certainly no cheese. Charging that astronomical price for that is out of this world especially when there’s no protein like it was advertised. I don’t like leaving bad reviews but when I mentioned to the staff, her response was pretty unprofessional, saying that’s not their fault but Cary’s production team. Not to mention the croissant was flavorless and dried. Went straight to the trash.
Won’t be coming back to this location for sure and just stick to it heir bread

Well I felt hurried. Ignored, unconcerned. I think I was charged arbitrarily. 55 dollars for 3 items ? Hummm, Anyway the parfeit was excellent. Nothing is baked there, there is no kitchen ? Can you call it a bakery or a distribution center ? It’s good but not fresh out the oven. Its a small town ,it is appreciated by me. I will continue to support it. I think the staff needs retraining. Customer care goes a very long way. I have only been twice but I paid 100 dollars in those 2 purchases. So be interested in serving your customers. Thanks see you tomorrow !

I’m so glad the La Farm came back to FV! This location is usually less busy/chaotic than the other locations so you can sit and relax. They offer take and bake options. I love their breads and pastries. The cinnamon white chocolate mini scones are my favorite. The young man who works here is incredibly friendly and helpful. Glad this place is in FV!

I had an appointment that took me close to a LaFarm in Cary. The sourdough bread was excellent, and the focaccia bread was out of this world!
The only negative is that I don’t have one close to where I live. The closest one is over a half hour drive away so unless I’m going past one to get someplace else, I won’t be making a special trip.

Nice people. Decent drinks. Tasty treats. Price is a little high but at least it’s a local company. My main complaint is the cold drinks drip and leak constantly. Idk if it’s the lid or the combination of lid and cup, but make sure to grab extra paper towel.

I’ve been a regular customer of La Farm Bakery for several years, starting with their original outlet in Cary and later visiting their location in West Cary at Whole Foods. Recently, I had the chance to visit their Fuquay outlet, and I must say, it has been my favorite experience among the three locations.

The food and coffee taste consistently excellent across all outlets, but the overall experience differs significantly. The Fuquay location stands out with its small-town charm, warm and welcoming staff, and cozy ambiance. The smaller size of the outlet adds to its charm, and the sufficient parking and prime location make it convenient. Though there’s some outdoor seating available, I couldn’t take advantage of it this time due to the rainy weather.

The original outlet comes second in my rankings, while the West Cary location offers the least memorable experience, though the quality of the food remains good.

The Fuquay outlet is a perfect spot for a quick coffee and bakery snack, and I’ll definitely continue visiting it. Chocolate almond croissants and scones are wonderful!
