So glad we stopped! This place did not disappoint. California burrito and chicken rolled tacos were exactly what we wanted. The food was extremely fresh tasting and the horchata and lemonade was delicious! Highly recommend!

The woman at the front is one of the nicest people ever and this burrito exceeded any expectations I had. I’m not a big egg fan, but they made me love it in their food. go show some support because this is an great restaurant. $15 for all this food at this quality level is insane especially in california

I was recommended this place by a nurse at the UCLA Health nearby. I wanted some sopes. She said I might find them here. They don’t have them. I ordered green chilaquiles. They aren’t bad. They aren’t very spicy which is great! They come with scrambled eggs on top and Mexican Rice and refried beans. The rice was ok. Beans were good. The potatoes were good but a bit too salty. There’s inside and outside dining areas. The AC was on. The place looks nice but not interesting. Service was good. Go to the bathroom for classy times. There’s a chandelier lol. Best of all you can chuckle at the sign that reminds employees they need to wash their hands. It says “Employee” so I guess only one of them can wash their hands. Or maybe only one at a time can wash their hands. Who knows? This place is popular even at around 11 AM. There’s an adjacent parking lot. Street parking too. All free.

Menu lacks everything and dint get to go or you might as well put it in blender. Taste yes it needs some taste. Not terrible but not good. Poor presentation. THIS IS HOW I GOT MY DINNER FOR $30

La Esquina Mexican Grill is a great spot—delicious food, friendly staff, and everything feels clean, comfortable, and welcoming. The service was quick and the atmosphere was relaxed. If you’re looking for a solid café-style place for Mexican food, I definitely recommend La Esquina Mexican Grill!

Purchased a breakfast burrito for take out over $18 and they were trying to charge me over 50 cents per extra salsa this size. Will not be going back.

First time here and we were not disappointed!
Ordered the California burrito, carne asada, french fries, sour cream, cheese and Pico de Gallo. Delicious, and HUGE! The carne asada was perfect! Tasted fresh and high quality, no excess fat or gristle and cooked to perfection. We shared it and each had a rolled hard shell taco.
The tacos were crispy and hot, filled with beef from end to end, covered with a sprinkle of grated cheese and guacamole sauce. Delicious The five taco size is enough for two people to share, and reasonably priced.
Now, let’s talk basics. The simplest things on the menu, are often the ones many restaurants get wrong, but not here at La Esquina Mexican Grill! Beans and rice. The beans, my Wife and I agree, were the best we have ever tasted. Freshly made from an old, family recipe. The rice was moist, loose ( not clumpy) and spiced just right. Believe, when it comes to rice and beans, coming from a mostly Mexican neighborhood in the Midwest, I have had enough to consider myself an expert.
The chips are house made and the salsa is similar to pico de Gallo, not to spicy but full of fresh flavor.
Bottom line? I’ve got myself a new, favorite Mexican restaurant, right in the neighborhood! We’ll be back!

Solid food at a solid price, I’d go back. I got the surf and terf burrito and really liked it. The thing was stuffed and massive and only cost like sixteen bucks. If you need a comparison, I’d say it’s a really good Baja Fresh. There are complementary chips and salsa but I didn’t get them because the person at the register didn’t ask if I wanted any and I did not know it was an option.

Came here because of the relatively high reviews but was left disappointed! The restaurant was empty at ~6 pm so was hoping for a smoother experience. Ordered a california burrito and it was EXTRA dry! Though the size of the burrito was huge, it definitely had no sour cream in it and when I told the waitress, she acted pretty rude and told me a side of sour cream would cost extra?!? I told her that it is extremely dry and she was like it should have some in it but it didn’t! The other waitress stepped in and said yes sour cream is extra… I wish the staff was nicer and properly trained! If the chef forgot to add an ingredient, no big deal! Just work with the customer to fix it and elevate their experience! Overall, a subpar experience! Disappointed with the service and food! :((
