Really good restaurant with a buzzing atmosphere – would recommend. I walked in on a busy Friday evening. While they didn’t have a table available right that moment, they told me I could wait by the bar with a drink. I had a Sangria – it was packed. Unfortunately I never ended up getting that table, the friendly barman recommended some small tasters and wine exquisite wine to go with it.
The empenada with meat was good (a bit dry), the pulpo carpaccio I liked a lot and the lomito Malbec was so tasty yet rich that I left the place absolutely stuffed.

Again, I have to say the atmosphere was what caught me and why I would come back. Reservation May be a good idea. Kudos to the friendly bar service.

This place has a nostalgic school vibe, with a extensive bar and friendly staff. We stopped by for dessert, and the lava cake with vanilla ice cream was absolutely incredible. The vanilla ice cream on its own was simply divine. The menu offers a wide selection, and we’re already planning to come back for dinner.

The steak was excellent, the wine selection was extensive, especially the Argentine options, and the cozy decor paired perfectly with the classic old-style music. A wonderful atmosphere and a great dining experience overall. Highly recommended!

Omg!. Came here for dinner and I most say. It was probably one of the best dinners experience that I had in Costa Rica. Meaning like the food, service and quality was just on point. You don’t really get service in Costa Rica, since they don’t have to hustle for their tip, but here they make sure that you get the service and attention. The cocktails were well executed and the food was magnificent!. They have a Really good wine selection too. The restaurant itself is beautiful and cozy. Definitely a most try steakhouse in Costa Rica

No table seating available at lunch time on a Sunday afternoon. There were many empty seats but it appeared they offered to seat me at the bar. Food was excellent

Beautiful bistro! Warm, lively, and huge menu! Everything was wonderful and we so appreciated their gracious accommodations as we did not have a reservation. It was packed on a Sunday night! And I think I witnessed people hugging and greeting each other at least a dozen times. Very special place in the heart of the city. Add it to your list!

Easily our favorite meal in San Jose. The portions were very generous – with sangria glasses as big as our face! The decor is lovely too. Reservations are encouraged but they were able to seat us since we arrived right when they opened.

This place is really cute and I loved the old school vibe. I had the tenderloin with mushroom gravy. The steak was incredibly soft and delicious. The service was also very good. The reason the food has less stars, is that the gravy was really, just okay…almost tasted like a packaged gravy and the potatoes tasted like frozen potatoes that had been stuck in an air fryer. There was also a tomato, sliced in half and grilled…it was good, but also, just okay. The sides seemed like something just to fill and color the plate moreso than being yummy. It would have been a better option to just have the steak without the other things; then it would have had 5 stars.

Amazing last lunch in our trip.
Superb food, excellent service and nice Argentinan music
We had beef empanada for starter. One of the best I have eaten.
Then we had a tenderloin steak. Perfect made and delicious. Linguine in olive oil side dish tasty and delicate.
As desert, classic flan. Excellent.
Highly recommended!!!!!

Wow! Came here for dinner and it was honestly one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Costa Rica. The food, service and overall quality were absolutely on point. Great service guaranteed here, this place truly stands out – the staff was attentive and made sure I felt well taken care of.

The food was magnificent and the wine selection is excellent. I had the rabas fritas, mejillones gratinados and a glass of Sauvignon, all of which were delicious. The restaurant itself is beautiful and cozy. Definitely a must-try steakhouse in Costa Rica. ✨
