Excellent family owned restaurant in exciting new location in downtown South Bend outside of Four Winds Field at the Ivy at Berlin Place. They provide great service, tasty food selections, and fair prices.

In South Bend for my sons baseball tournament and craving Mexican food. La Esperanza was not too far from our hotel so we went. Good choice. All three of our meals were tasty, along with great service.

The online menu said 3 tacos in the dinner but it’s only 2 tacos in the dinner and their was very little meat. Very pricey for what they give you. Chips and queso were 7.50 and got maybe 10 chips in that bag. The taco dinner was 13.50. Compared to other places around, it was way more expensive and the quality was less than average.

Updated: Went in for lunch, pointed to what I would like on the menu and the waitress brought me something completely different then charged me the dinner price plus for a drink I didn’t have. The food was bland and the atmosphere of the original location is gone. Not worth it, especially with the increase in prices.

Very authentic food and quite delicious! Prices are decent as well. Parking could be an issue at times since they do not have a dedicated parking lot but we parked beside the road so it was no problem.
