Wow !!!!
The food is absolutely delicious however price and service will have me coming back day in and out.
Highly recommended and there nothing like that in this area and even if there was i doubt it could compare.
The ingredients were so fresh and it shows on the flavors.
I had the birria tostones.and that combination was so good.
Tostones cooked to perfection and the meat so soft and juice my mouth is watering just thinking about it again.
Also free nachos with any order

Incredibly delicious tacos! Truly 10/10 flavor. We got the fish and chicken tacos and enjoyed the side sauces (green and orange).

The owner was also incredibly hospitable and kind. Highly recommend this spot for amazing flavor that’s not over engineered. Chef’s kiss!

Really good food! The birria tacos were super flavorful and juicy, the quipes were crispy and fresh, and the chimi de carnitas was amazing. Everything tasted fresh and well seasoned. Will definitely be ordering from here again.

Let me start by saying that I was very, very skeptical about coming here due to the fact that it is of Dominican and Mexican fusion food, but let me tell you was I wrong. Not only was the food absolutely delicious but the accommodations felt like a family environment. I sat down and had the Carne Asada tacos with the green sauce, absolute magic. It was so good that I got a burrito to go. I got a surf and turf bar and shrimp burrito which is the Owner Anderson was kind enough to create for me. If you want a place where the food quality is high , fresh and you get treated like family then this is the place for you. I’m happy I found this place which is walking distance from my pad. I’ll be back at anyone who hasn’t been here. Should give it a shot.

An unforgettable fusion spot in South Beach!

La Ecensia Momimex is hands down one of the most unique and flavorful restaurants I’ve tried in Miami. From the moment you walk in, the vibrant atmosphere hits you — colorful papel picado, Dominican and Mexican flags proudly hanging, and beautiful artwork on the walls that makes the place feel festive and welcoming.

The food is where it really shines. I ordered a sandwich that beautifully combined Mexican and Dominican flavors, and it was absolutely delicious. The bread was perfectly toasted, the meat juicy and tender, and the toppings added just the right amount of crunch and freshness. The fries with their special sauce were addictive — I couldn’t stop eating them.

On top of that, the presentation is fun and creative. My sandwich even came with little Dominican and Mexican flags on top, which shows how much pride they put into celebrating both cultures.

Service was friendly and quick, and the whole vibe made me feel like I was at a festive family gathering. If you’re in South Beach and want something beyond the usual tourist spots, La Ecensia Momimex is a gem that’s absolutely worth visiting.

Highly recommended for anyone who loves bold flavors and a true cultural mix!

Over all 10/10 experience from the moment I entered ,to when the food came out to even being greeted on the way out. Man, I gotta talk about this spot, La Esencia. Seriously, the moment I heard it was Dominican and Mexican food mashed up, I was already sold. Like, my two favorite food groups under one roof? That’s just wild. It felt like they designed this place just for me.

I went for the first time on Friday, and the whole experience was just it. The vibes were on point—super comfortable, great energy. And the service? Incredible. The staff was humble but quick; they made you feel totally taken care of. No complaints at all on the atmosphere or the people working there.

But the food? Oof. It was perfect. You know how sometimes fusion can feel messy? Not here. Every single bite tasted intentional, like they really respect both cuisines and knew exactly what they were doing. And listen, the pricing was greatly priced. It’s not one of those places where you leave feeling broke; you get real value for the quality you’re paying for.

Honestly, I’m already counting down the days till I can get back. If you live around here and you haven’t been to La Esencia, you’re missing out. Go try it—it’s straight up amazing!
