The beer was great! After all, what can one do with bottled beer?

The meal was a poor excuse for a dinner! The shrimp tacos came with a taco sauce. We asked that the sauce be placed on the side. That happened but the sauce had no, and I do mean NO, flavor and was just red water, absolutely no flavor. The beans and rice were cold and extremely dry. The beans so dry you could not pry them off a spoon or fork!

My Chili Relleno was to have green chili sauce. There was none! The Enchilada had no sauce at all! The whole meal was extremely dry!

The service was null and void! We asked for a side of guacamole. That appeared at the end of the meal with “I am sorry, they had to make it.”

We went for an early dinner at 4:30-5. There were 2 other couples there with 1-2 people at the bar. Not busy!

That is it! Never again!!!

Went to get some pozole for myself and menudo for my friend for takeout. When we arrived home, the menudo was half full and the pozole 3/4 full. Both were bland in flavor. Menudo was supposed to come with bread and only got one miserable piece of bread, what the heck…. well, overall for $35 including tip…. not what we expected and very disappointing. Mr burros in yuma is sooooooo much better honestly. Never going back. This is not authentic mexican flavor menudo or pozole at all. The only good part of our experience was the young lady who took our order, she was friendly and pleasant.

Rating one star, but (plus one star) for good service.

We had the fajitas and a carne asada taco. The carne asada was really dry/overcooked and had no seasoning. I asked for a crispy taco, and it was served in an already prepared corn shell like you’d buy at the supermarket.

The fajitas came out sizzling, but that was the best part of them. Way more onions and peppers than the rubbery, unseasoned beef.

Beans were bland and rice was just edible.

The mango margarita we ordered, size large, but must have just been extra mix, we couldn’t taste the tequila.

We left $40 (including tip) poorer and both still hungry.

On goes the search for tasty mexican food in Yuma.

Never has failed us. Just an institution in the Foothills. The kitchen chef is consistently producing tasty plates.
The waiter is knowledgeable about each selection & efficient. Ordered chili rellinos & margaritas. Satisfied & pleased. See ya next time.

Our children and grandchildren came to visit us and we all were pleasantly surprised with the meal, service, price and comfort of this gem in the Foothills!
When my son in law likes a Tamale as much as my tamales, my youngest granddaughter had not one thing to say while eating and my man cleans his plate….thats a win in every aspect!
Definitely will be repeat customers!

ordered Al Pastor Tacos and they were the worse tacos I have ever had in my life, the tortillas were soggy and fell apart, the meat was definitely not al pastor it was chicken with chorizo seasoning and the tacos were mainly lettuce and pico with watered down “salsa” and 3 pieces of “meat”. menudo was disgusting and not worth the price and over all I was very disappointed with the food quality. Definitely not worth trying.

*edit; after the restaurant replied and said their tacos do not have lettuce or pico I added the photo to show the tacos clearly were nothing but lettuce and pico.

NOT AUTHENTIC Mexican Food. Beans were a little off, tortillas seemed to have been warmed in the microwave, and the sauce on the Huevos Ranchero looked like it was made in a blender. Coffee and orange juice was good and the service was excellent. Good place to go and chill, but not for the Mexican food.

Got the rolled tacos, which were tequitos you can make at home. Dry, unimpressed. But….margaritas were excellent . Service was slow, and the place was not busy. I’d give other dishes a chance…possible re-post in the future. Clean and spacious restaurant, with a large room in the back for artists to perform.

We are staying next door and thought it would be great to have a restaurant within walking distance. Nacho’s were absolutely terrible and tostada was the soggy and broken. Almost walked out before ordering because of the service. 15 dollars for a tostada come on man!!! Overpriced menu as well. Giant disappointment

No frills Mexican restaurant that has good food and drinks. Tonight was karaoke night so that added to the fun and atmosphere. Tuesdays are taco night so you can get tacos for about $1.99 each. Prices on other food was not bad. Service wasn’t anything extraordinary but our waitress was super sweet and friendly. Would go here again.
