I am a photographer, I wanted to take some pictures of the place and especially the food, I was with my husband and son and I asked to be given the window table to have better lighting and the tables were empty, when the waitress was going to seat me the manager told her I couldn’t sit there, there was a smaller table and she didn’t give me the option either, I was very upset. I felt offended, on the other hand the lasagna looked very good but it didn’t have any meat in it, they could improve it

Historic post office transformed into a modern pizzeria restaurant makes for a neat vibe. Steak sandwich was fantastic.. A delightful pleasure of beef smothered by mozzarella cheese in soft and crispy focaccia bread with every bite. Service was friendly and attentive. Our waitress was super knowledgeable. Would love to return and explore more of the menu. One point deducted tho for not having any kind of hot sauce. This is America. Crazy! More street parking can be found on Steele St when driving northeast.

Went in expecting a lovely experience. It was a quiet raining Sunday evening, 6pm. My dad and I asked for a table for 3 (my son was a few mins behind us). We were told we couldn’t be seated until the entire party arrived. 4 tables were occupied out of maybe 35-40. If the place was full and there was a line of guests, I could understand this “policy”. I mentioned the empty dining room and asked if it was really necessary to enforce “policy”. Yes it was.
We waited and I asked if we could at least get menus to look over while we waited for a table.
Upon looking at the menu , I saw that the prices were much higher than the posted menus online. That was disappointing and frustrating bc it was part of the consideration for choosing this restaurant.
After being seated the service was slower than expected for an empty restaurant. There was a time where I watched the server have a conversation with a coworker while my food sat on the counter for several minutes. At one point I tried to flag the server down to ask for an item and she didn’t acknowledge me at all, but went to deliver something to a coworker.
We ordered a pizza and salad. Salad was good. Pizza was ok. Not especially flavorful or unique. Extra pizza sauce was the item I asked for bc it barely had any and lacked flavor. The one pizza was large enough to feed our party of three.
The building is cute. The location is convenient to downtown Sanford or from the interstate. The menu has enough variety to accommodate most people. However the food was average and the service was poor.
All in all, I won’t go back.

Cool little place in downtown Sanford. A few parking spots behind the building. I thought the two slice combo was ok, but thought the slices were going to be a little bigger. I will make sure to go back during the all you can eat timeframe next time!
Service was excellent and everyone was very nice.

Our first time and was above my expectations. The places have a ice cream shop in the entrance with a sitting area. The restaurant have is very modern decor which I really like. The place has an outdoor patio as well. Service was great. The most important the Kansanara pizza was perfection in our opinion. Thin crust great flavor in general. Definitely one on my favorite pizza in the area. Will be coming back. Not so close to home but will be happy to drive the 35 miles to eat there again.

La Dolce Vita Pizzeria is a great place to grab a unique pizza or sandwich. Situated in the “downtown” Sanford area, La Dolce Vita resides in the former Post Office building. With its historical presence, La Dolce Vita kept with the theme of the location adding some antique postal items as decor, including a retired postal jeep out front. The inside is well designed, with plenty of seating, that can accommodate people at the bar, 4 seaters, 6 seaters, and even a larger group table. They also appeared to have a decent selection of adult beverages, however we did not partake in those for lunch.
Under the suggestion of our server, we chose the Kona pizza. A different take on a Hawaiian pizza but with feta and sun dried tomatoes added on, we found that overall the pizza was very good. The only part that we were surprised about was the lack of pineapple flavor despite there being a plethora of pineapples to the pizza. Our picture shows just how well topped this pizza is. Otherwise, it was a great choice. The service was good and overall nice, but seemed to be a little distracted for being lunch and not being all that busy.
For dessert, we opted for the Gelato that is featured in the entry area to the restaurant. This was an excellent treat and the coconut gelato gave us fond memories of eating fresh coconut ice cream in Maui.
There is a lot of street parking, so if there’s something happening downtown, you may not always find convenient parking.
I’d say that this is a great place if you’re looking for a well crafted pizza and will definitely go again if we are out in Sanford in the future.

Stopped by today for first time. Pizza was excellent (thin crust) but the service was absolutely exceptional. Relatively inexpensive (large pizza, 3 cokes, and desert was ~$36). Very friendly staff. Talked to several of them. Highly recommend.

Only off thing was that I was meeting my parents there for lunch, so drove separately. They made my parents wait till I got there before seating them. I live 2 blocks away. Party of 3 total. Makes sense for large parties who may hog/hold seats during rushes, but the restaurant was on a midweek lunch shift, less that one fourth tables occupied and plenty of staff. They felt it necessary to keep an elderly couple sitting in a back hall entry instead of just seating them and getting their drink orders. If you have a small party, I’d just get a table and don’t tell them an extra person is joining you. The wait staff is great, food is decent.

La Dolce Vita is the best pizza I have had in NC. My wife and I have been a few times but most recently had the Kona pizza. The crust was great and all of the ingredients tasted fresh. We also got the focaccia bread and that was delicious as well.
Our server was great and the restaurant was busy even on a Tuesday night which just goes to show how good it is.
