The place is almost hidden, I stumbled on it unintentionally when I parked on the side of it to visit the US Post Office near by. The cook and wait staff member, Marie was nice. She answered my many questions to help me choose what I wanted from what was actually available. Many Haitian restaurants do not cook legume daily, it’s my favorite Haitian dish, hands down. I appreciated that she offered the spinache. It had chopped carrots, onions and two small pieces of succulent pork. The spice was perfect, just a hint. I had black bean gravy with white rice and fried plantain. The salt content was perfect as well. There’s a griot lunch special and others. The price is comparable to other local Haitian restaurants and the amount of food was good. too. More people would probably visit the restaurant if the spelling was more traditional, it’s spelling varies, took two days to find it on Google. Even in the restaurant it is spelled at least two different places. The food is fire, I highly recommend La Diference/La Diferance.

I highly recommend this restaurant to those in the mood for a Caribbean treat. Overall the delicious food and the music presented a wonderful ambience. The rice and beans and fried plantains are so fresh, you’ll just have to taste it to believe me.
Thank You, for your making our Thanksgiving dinner so special.
We’ll be back again.
Sincerely, Mimi & Myrtho
