Never in my life have I come across a Cuban sandwich with a hotdog in it It put me off IMMEDIATELY. Que es eso???
According to google it’s popular to make them like that in some places in Latin America. It just wasn’t what I was expecting and I wouldn’t have ordered it If I had known. It was not in the description when I ordered it so I’m hoping this review will save someone from the same fate.
The papusas are so delicious and I’ll order them again. Also I don’t know if their curtido is house made but it is perfect. It’s not too vinegary or overly fermented, I could eat it on its own.
TLDR: I’ll stick the Papusas from here and continue to got to Havana in Roger’s for my Cubans. La torta Cubana le doy 0 pero las Papusa 10/10!

I would love to give 5 stars but I can’t.
The owner is absolutely the sweetest person, the food is phenomenal. Unfortunately one of her servers is absolutely horrible.. she is rude, non attentive, and petty.
Is as if she goes out of her way to be mean to me specifically. We were loyal consumers there for over 5 years until the last incident with this specific server happened and we haven’t been back since. As long as she’s there we won’t return.
She doesn’t have a name tag or id specify who she is. Although I can say when she started there was about 3 ish years ago, when the other (super nice) server went on maternity leave.

I love coming here to grab some pupusas. They’re the perfect size, pretty affordable, and taste awesome. Plus, their horchata de morro is on point. The staff is fantastic and always treats my family and me great! I’ll definitely swing by again to snap some pics!

They are so kind here and the pupusas were delicious. The man serving us, I think his name was Diego was so handsome and knowledgeable and told me and my group about the extra spicy salsa that his mother makes! I love a family endeavor, they also have a small grocery store which is great because I can never find plantains anywhere else!! Definitely check it out

The BEST Salvadoran food and cutest little grocery store! I’ve been going here for years, and there is nothing more authentic than La Despensa Latina – HANDS DOWN. Their pupusas are made fresh everyday and by the most hardworking, attentive staff. Their tacos and breakfast plate is also amazing, and they have a great selection of bottled/canned drinks too. It’s the perfect place to stop for a quick lunch or a casual dinner with family. The owner is super sweet and doesn’t speak English, but that shouldn’t be a reason not to go. For those leaving a bad review because of the language barrier and communication, please be graceful to these small, authentic businesses! It’s not very common, and quite rude, in other countries to make 100 alterations to authentic meals when these businesses are trying to preserve their culture and bring their food in the most authentic form. If you’re vegan, vegetarian, or have any sort of dietary restrictions, PLEASE do your own research first before trying to eat at an authentic restaurant before you complain about the food. Leaving a review due to the communication/language barrier is just unforgiving, and everyone is truly just trying their best. I highly recommend this place, and it’s a great way to immerse yourself in another culture and practice your Spanish!! Let’s keep supporting these local, authentic businesses so we can have a beautiful, diverse food in NWA! ♥️

This is the best Salvadorean food we have had outside of El Salvador. Pupusas were jammed full of filling and so flavorful. My Dad got the Sopa de Patas and said it’s the best he’s had in years. Mayra was so sweet and recommended we try the enrollados de yuca and they were a great snack. One part is their store and the other half is the restaurant. The store had all kinds of great snacks and items we had been missing from El Salvador
