French cuisine and yummy crepes! Loved this place, it felt intimate and authentic. It was my first time trying escargot, and I loved it! French onion soup was a must. I’d love to come back with a group of friends!

I ordered take out and when I got home I realized that the crepe must have been made two days ago because it was desiccated, dry and about the consistency of tree bark. The Nutella inside was pretty much of the same consistency and quality. The whipped cream was clearly from a can and by the time I made it home half an hour later it had turned into a puddle of something resembling curdled milk. STAY AWAY.

Phenomenal, authentic French cuisine in a very special setting. The French onion soup is hands down the best I’ve ever had. The savory crepe dish was also fabulous. 10/10 recommend stopping in.

This is a wonderful romantic old school French restaurant that serves the best crepes. Always delicious food and the service is always terrific.

I try to get at least one crepe from each city I visit. I was so excited to try this place based on the reviews. When we arrived the person who sat us seemed annoyed and tired, which was totally understandable because I think they were the only ones waiting tables and serving people as far as I could tell; the place was pretty busy, especially for only one person waiting tables. Anywho, we ordered two crepes and they came out fairly quickly, which was great. I got the crepes Suzette and my partner got the caramel and salted butter crepe. His was swimming in sauce, he ate maybe half of it because it was just too much sauce. The sauce on mine was more proportional but I hate to say it, it was the worst crepe I’ve ever had, he echoed this sentiment with his crepe. It was hard and difficult to cut through, like it was over cooked or something? I’ve never had to use a knife to cut through a crepe. Once we tasted our crepes, they were both chewy, which is something I have never experienced with crepes. It almost seemed as though the crepes are (over)cooked in bulk, instead of fresh when ordered and just quickly reheated when ordered. It was just so strange and so disappointing. These are not cheap crepes either ($33 (!) dollars for just 2 crepes after tax and tip), which we were both more than willing to pay but the quality did not match the price at all. When we were leaving we saw the kitchen had a huge stack of crepes that they would grab from, so I think my inclination is correct about cooking in bulk. I personally have always had crepes made to order at crepe stands and crepe shops, so I don’t know if that is what is causing the tough, chewiness. Anyways, I hope it was just an off night, but based on the previous reviews that I missed when choosing this place, it seems that this is becoming a trend.

This was one of the most disappointing meals I’ve ever had in Chicago. My group came here because of the rave reviews, but now I’m wondering if those reviewers have ever gone to a decent restaurant.

Had a delicious dinner at Le Creperie tonight. The vegetarian crepe was very fresh and tasty. My boyfriend loved his beef crepe. My white wine was great. They are offering 2019 prices so it was reasonable. The atmosphere is old school French. French music playing. They have a cute outdoor patio in back. The service was attentive. Will go back very soon. Check it out!
