Ordered the burrito Guadalajara with chips and salsa to go.
Ate half of it when I got back to the hotel in Wheatland and it was pretty good.
Reheated it the next morning, and it was even better. That never happens.
Thank you, guys, and girls. ;<)

La Costa Mexican Restaurant in Douglas, Wyoming is a true gem! From the moment we were seated, the service was prompt and friendly. We started with delicious chips, salsa, and a fantastic bean dip.My Enchilada La Costa with carne asada was bursting with wonderful flavor, and my companion raved about their Burrito Especial. The rice and beans were exceptional, truly the best I’ve tasted. To top it off, the flan was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. If you’re in Douglas, don’t miss this amazing spot for authentic Mexican cuisine!

I was traveling from Texas and passed through Douglas when I started to feel hungry. I decided to give this place a chance based on previous reviews, but honestly, it fell short of expectations. Coming from Texas, where there are so many excellent average dining options, I would rate La Costa as below average.
It was clear that the rice and beans had been reheated multiple times and lacked flavor. The steak was also very bland, and the tortillas didn’t impress either. I dislike leaving such a negative review for a family-owned business, but the overall quality and flavor were disappointing.
For the amount of money this place is charging per plate, approximately $18, I expected more. T

The food was fine but the Margaritas were TERRIBLE! We thought they forgot the alcohol!! You couldn’t taste any alcohol in them. I haven’t drank a Margarita for almost three years so it should have hit me like a rock but I honestly think they forgot the alcohol!!

Great service. Enjoyed our meal. Good authentic dishes. Don’t let the outside of the building scare you away. Great place to eat!

La costa have been a childhood favorite, i haven’t had La costa since i was atleast 9 it’s hard to come eat here whilst living in Texas but i had a chance to stop by the other day and its just as good as i remember it. The owner basically a family friend and although he hasn’t seen me since i was young he automatically remembered me and he has the BEST customer service and makes it feel like home. I would 100% recommend this place I’ve tried thousand of Mexican restaurants and a majority of them are “Tex-mex” and this is the only one that has authentic Mexican food in my opinion as half Mexican lol.

Have never been to Mexican restaurant before that serves chips and salsa which were unedible, even to me. I LOVE chips and this is the first place this has happened to me in 60 years. Chips were SOOO greasy AND stale. Salsa watery and bland. Husband’s shrimp entree was pretty good but lunch burrito so bland and unflavorful also. Service was quick enough but super unfriendly. Not a smile anywhere. Not a lot of choice in Douglas. Too bad.

Food and service excellent! Lost a point for indoor decor and the outside look of the front of the building. Spend a few dollars and make the building look awesome like your food tastes!

Walking in I should have known based on how dirty the outside was and everything is in general state of disrepair. Servers were nice and attentive initially. I was totally surprised when there were no options for tequilla. Simply the house margarita which was made with a mix. Chips were stale tasting and salsa tasted off. I ordered chili rellanos and a chalupa. I received an honest to god omelette with a tiny amount of cheese and 1/4 maybe of a pepper folded into the omelette. I was so confused so when the owner came over, I assume it was the owner, I asked if this was supposed to be a chili rellanos and he told me that’s how they make them because a real one is crispy and that makes them too hot and people don’t like them. I’m sorry?? What?? It was the single dumbest story I’ve ever heard. Frying a rellanos makes it too spicy?
My chalupa was sitting in so much liquid that I could not pick it up. My husband has never not finished a pork burrito and he ate less than half. It was truly terrible food and the place desperately needs cleaned, inside and out. Again, the staff was nice although we did have to ask two people to ring is up and they had to go find our waitress who was outside hanging with friends or family sitting on the curb out front.
