The most excellent Mexican food I have had outside of Mexico. Service was flawless. My only issue was atmosphere. Not very comfortable. Low end diner vibe. Seating was uncomfortable. We would have stayed longer otherwise.

If there’s a restaurant that could give a master class to other restaurants, it’s Costa Bora. While I’ve only been twice for brunch, I can speak from experience that they know what they’re doing. Try the skirt steak chilaquiles and if you’re hungry get the Big Daddy! Don’t get it without La Cafe De Olla though! And if you’re looking for a good time, look no further than their Canterito cocktail! So grateful my buddy Quincy told me about this place. 5/5 all day.

Mediocre. Didn’t love it but didn’t hate it either. Probably won’t come back but was fine for the night. Has a full bar and many food options, including a kids menu. But the service was lacking, the burrito was very plain, lettuce was on the side which I thought was odd, and not nearly enough for the size of burrito. However, the burrito was huge, enough to share or make two meals out of it. Plenty of booth and table seating, ample parking, and handicapped accessible.

THE spot for Mexican style seafood in the 815 – not only are the dishes flavorful, they’re presented as well as they taste. Amazing service, always. Drinks are 10/10 and get the job done plus I appreciate them being active on social media with their events and special menus! a hidden gem

We have been here a couple of times, and it gets better and better each time!

Last night, my husband and I had a date night. Unbeknownst to us, it was happy hour and many items were discounted by 50%!
Started with a mango margarita which was on point. Not to sugary, no overkill on the tequila and the finishing touch was the rim trimmed with tajin spice
On to dinner.
I had seen pictures on their Facebook posts of the ceviche so I told the server I would like that as my entree. She looked at me funny and said that it was not a dinner item and it would not be enough to fill me up. I said no worries as I was not super hungry anyways. Well let me tell you, my picture says it all! It was plenty for dinner and leftovers. So good, apparently it was 3 different types of ceviche served with your choice of crackers, chips or tostado. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
My husband ordered the skirt steak fajitas which were sizzling hot. The steak was tender and seasoned to perfection. The sautéed green peppers and onions were so FRESH. The beans that were served , in my opinion are authentic. Kind of like a soup but just complement the fajitas nicely.

On to the coffee ☕️
I know who drinks coffee after Mexican food?? But again, their facebook post got me intrigued I took the Cafe de Olla to go and it was not even close to what I expected, in a good way! They only served iced which was no problem but the flavor combination is not typical of any coffee I have had. It has hints of cinnamon and maybe cardamon. Not 100% sure but very good. Next time I would like to try the hot Cafe de Olla.

For atmosphere I gave only 4 stars as the music was very loud. Good choice of music, but it could have been lowered to clearly hear the conversation with my husband.

I look forward to returning as now I am eyeing their brunch menu

We recently had an outstanding dining experience at Costa Bora that left us eager to return..

As a vegetarian, I was curious about their Shrimp Cocktail, so I ordered it without the shrimp. To my delight, it was incredibly fresh and bursting with flavor. It was evident that they used only the freshest ingredients, which made this dish a standout for me.

My boyfriend opted for the ceviche flight as his entree, which included fish ceviche, octopus ceviche, and shrimp ceviche. He absolutely loved it! Each type of ceviche was uniquely seasoned and perfectly prepared. The portion was generous enough that he even had some leftovers to enjoy later, which is always a bonus.

Their selection of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages was equally impressive. We found the drinks to be expertly crafted, with just the right balance of flavors—another highlight of the evening.

Costa Bora has definitely won us over with their exceptional food and drinks, along with their inviting atmosphere. We’re already planning to make this one of our regular spots to dine in. Highly recommend!

As they say, you get what you pay for. I got the small $3 lime margarita and it tasted like watered down limeade. I also had the ceviche, which would have been good without the balsamic. Service was good and very friendly.

Delicious seafood. Best mexican seafood I’ve had yet. I had a negra modelo michelada (michelada borracha) highly recommend it if you enjoy micheladas or bloody Mary’s. I ordered a parrillada the sauce they use is a chipotle pepper sauce not too spicy and has a great savory flavor. I would recommend this restaurant especially if you’re hung over, can’t go wrong.
