I’m from San Diego; used to live in Tijuana. It’s really hard to find great Mexican food up north here compared to what I’m used to growing up in San Diego but this place is pretty good and I don’t mean to sound harsh. Great vibes, good food, service was just okay… Maybe they were super busy. I’ll update if I go here again. It definitely feels like you’re in a Mexican restaurant in Mexico somewhere.

Ate here with my cousin I guess this place has been there for many years and his family owned. She here has a teenager a couple decades ago. The food was really good and authentic tasting. I was surprised at how large my taquitos were. My son got nachos which did not honestly look very impressive but my daughter got chicken tacos that looked good and she enjoyed them.

Got catering for our office meeting yesterday and our staff LOVED the food. Constantly saw folks going back for seconds, and later for leftovers!
Hilda was incredibly kind and thorough as we went over the catering order, and the portions we received were incredibly generous for what fit our budget. The food was absolutely delicious, and the fajita quesadilla was incredibly popular amongst our staff. One issue was that we were missing the taco shells from the order, but we called the restaurant and they were quick to send someone to our office to deliver the missing tray. The quick timing to remedy the situation and the quality, price, flavor, & amount of food easily makes up for that. 🙂
HIGHLY recommended for catering and for casual dining. Thanks!

Just had a fantastic meal at La Costa on California Ave in Palo Alto. Seriously, the portions are huge – I got a massive burrito and it was still plenty. The staff were so friendly, it felt like a really welcoming place. It was busy, but moved quickly. They automatically bring out chips and salsa, which was a nice touch. I’d probably order a little less next time, but honestly, the food was incredible and worth the drive.

Great service, many options on the menu and portions. I liked the beans a lot, they tasted authentic. Not big fan of the rice.
Our waiter was great.

I recently visited Wa 98166 at 206 SW 152nd St in Seattle, and it was a delightful experience. The place exuded a warm and inviting atmosphere, making me feel right at home. Despite being on a weekday, the restaurant was quite busy, which is impressive for an off-peak day. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming; everyone seemed to know each other by name, creating a friendly environment. Portion sizes were generous, and the food tasted as amazing as others had mentioned—so good that we all fell silent to savor every bite. Parking was a bit of a challenge due to limited spots, but once seated, it didn’t really matter. A small suggestion might be to offer a few more vegetarian options for those like me who are not big meat eaters. Overall, I highly recommend giving this place a try!

They always make me feel welcome and being a woman of color I can sometimes feel unwelcome in some Spanish restaurants. I love every single person that I come in contact with so very much and this is my favorite place to get the LOVE BACK. Today I ordered the El Pollito & it was amazing! I have created my own special drink from the mango berry burst, and it is breathtaking. Definitely make your way to try some of their items.. don’t miss happy hour until 3 o’clock.. come try some of the best food you’ll ever have and enjoy the company you keep!

If you are from a place with authentic Mexican food or ever had Mexican food in Mexico you will NOT be happy. 60 dollars was wasted on old grease tasting salad bowls and mediocre tacos. The 5 dollar margaritas were just juice. The biggest part of my tostada salad (the tostada) tasted AWFUL! Looks good, but clearly looks were deceiving!!! I would not recommend this place if you know authentic Mexican food!

You’d think finding a Mexican place in Burien would be the easiest thing to do as there were at least a dozen choices that I’ve never frequented.
So, I fell back to a recommendation the home inspectors wife suggested as has the best margarita’s. La Costa is the typical atmosphere you expect with the pink colors, music, booths and all the Mexican flare. You’ll feel relaxed as you settle into the booth and are warmly greeted.
The menu has way too many choices as you look and see dozens of choices for each area. They must have at least 75-100 entrees you can choose. Now let me be sure to pick the regular ones that are typically ordered??
To start with a Carta Blanca and it came with a frozen glass and the beer literally froze in the glass it was that cold. The starters are some chips and salsa and some warm bean dip.
I got the tortilla soup and it was really pretty tasty on a cold rainy Seattle day. The portions here are very large and you’ll not come away hungry. Another disk tried was the chili verde and the pork was perfectly cooked, lean and not too spicy.
I liked this place and found the pricing just right.

La Costa is hands down our favorite Mexican restaurant. The Carne Asada is incredibly flavorful and so tender—it literally pulls apart with a fork and melts in your mouth.
The restaurant is always clean, not overly loud and decorated with a fun flair and the staff are both super friendly and very professional. I don’t think they have had much turnover in staff over the past 15+ years which says a lot about ownership/management. Everyone Working there always seems super happy.
We love that they bring out refried beans, salsa with a basket of chips to the table automatically and free of charge—the salsa is packed with flavor!
I’ve had salads, vegetarian dishes, burritos, fajitas, chile Colorado and verde, enchiladas and of course their incredible carne asada.
We happily drive 30 minutes, passing many other Mexican spots, just to eat at La Costa.
Highly recommended!
