A group of us went based in a recommendation of a friend for a special occasion. We ordered the whole grilled octopus, house ceviche, grilled cauliflower and wine. All the food came out nicely. Nothing spectacular but decent. The service was friendly. Waiter was pretty busy and the place was full so we had to wait, remind him for refills and grab his attention. It was a chilly day so all of us opted for hot water. The waiter was helpful getting us the water which took a while but failed to mention it was $3.50 for each tiny teacup, even after getting multiple refills no mention of the cost. It was also not stated on the menu how much hot water cost. We were surprised when the bill came with water being one of the larger line items in our bill. Left a pretty sour taste in our mouths in what was otherwise a decent meal. Parking not easy in the area.

Exceptional. Anybody who doesnt give this place 5 stars is totally unreliable and not to be trusted. Great service, every dish was the best version of itself. Snapper tostada, soft shell crab taco, grilled shrimp main… All excellent. Sad I didn’t get to try the octopus but next time.

I have so many things to say about this place. I’ll start by saying the place is beautiful, every detail of its decor, its wallpaper, the bar, its cups… everything is absolutely gorgeous and designed to perfection. The food is extremely delicious! Each dish has an explosion of incredibly delicious flavor. There’s no doubt that the chef and everyone who works there know what they’re doing… My husband and I tried several dishes and all of them were super delicious. Last but not least, the service. I want to emphasize that the service is extraordinary. Yesterday, a young man named Samuel served us at the bar. His service was so wonderful… he was so kind, attentive, and friendly. He explained each dish, each sauce, the history of the restaurant, and chatted with us a lot. He truly is a lovely person. I recommend this place because even though I pay attention to every detail, it has become one of my favorites in California. Excellent place!!!

Unpretentious, un-apologetic, and not your typical Mexican cuisine in the US. Experience the raw bar, the tacos and especially the chowder. Pictures is the soft shell crab taco which is the perfect taco in flavor, texture, and experience. This is a must stop and hands down best taco in La Jolla. Thank you chefs, thank you front of house. It was an amazing experience.

We had a wonderful meal and enjoyable cocktails. One of the finest meals we had in La Jolla area. A certain repeat if we’re in the area.

To be clear this is mainly a Mexican Seafood restaurant. None the less, they did have 1 non-seafood option in the Burrito and it was pretty good.

Getting from Tijuana to Los Angeles I stopped at this cozy cute restaurant where I ordered Tijuana Burito, these were two huge mouth-watering pieces with a cup of coffee. Great taste and cozy atmosphere, perhaps the two most important components of a quiet pastime. And of course, nice and unobtrusive service.
