Charming French restaurant inspired by the Lyols of Lyon from the end of the 18th century where you can taste the flavor and romance of French cuisine, as well as a wide Wine list. Reservations required. Reservations will be taken according to the table layout and the shifts available. Group reservations for over 12 people are not accepted. Dress code: formal Gentlemen: Long pants, sleeved shirt and shoes or sandals (not rubber material). Beachwear and shoes are not permitted. Dinner: 18:00 – 23:00

Hands down the best restaurant in Barcelo resort (either side beach or palace). Service was also very good..especially in comparison to the other restaurants in the resort.
The white tuna carppacio was delicious. The Scallops Gratinate were tasty (a bit rubbery but flavor was good). Wellington was good and well cooked. Chateaubriand was nice and tender. Not prime by any means but still well above most of the resort food. Chicken cordon bleu was a good sized portion and had good flavor. Honeyed Pear in puff pastry was very nice at the end. In my opinion you should not waste time with some of the other ala cartes at Barcelo Bavaro and just choose this. As i understand it, it is free for premium guests but is upcharged for standard guests. This is worth the price of the premium by itself….but premium also gets you many other amenities.

This is one of their best restaurants, but like all other resort restaurants, don’t expect the meal of your life here. It’s basically a thematic French restaurant. There’s a supplement for non-premium level guests but you can pay that with your resort credits.

The food was great tasting here. I thoroughly enjoyed the meals that I had. Shrimp cocktail served in a pineapple, vichysoisse, and the beef wellington. The vegan options are limited but still able to work something out. The service is all over the place but you are well attended to.

So I was somewhat disappointed in this place. The food and service was not spectacular… I am not going to say I am a French food conessaur but we ordered the beef wellington and chicken cordon bleu and it was very disappointing… two relatively straight forward dishes… the chicken was tiny and well… the beef wellington was just a piece of meat. No wellington… I’m not exagerating…. the desserts were the same ones you get from all the other resteraunts and buffet…

The snails had a very good taste but they were a little dry. Next I had the lobster bisque, I did not like it at all, the lobster was hard too.
For the main I had the salmon, which was very delicious, but not hot. It wasn’t cold but it was just warm enough to eat. Everybody else’s food was also just warm. This is suppose to be the best restaurant on the property but I don’t think it deserves this label.

The place is pretentious. They keep you waiting even though you can clearly see the place is not full. Service is regular. Food is consistent with the quality of the whole Barceló Punta Cana. Low quality and poor flavor. For a French / European person or anybody with an educated taste this is a joke. The lobster was the shell and I guess maybe a tiny scoop of some kind of fish. Chicken was cold and the beef horrible. I would not go back at all. Worst thing is they just don’t seem to care. Cheap to say the least. Sad.
