I was in Silver City this weekend and it’s a great town with a great vibe. I grabbed lunch at La Cocina and while a tiny bit more expensive than I expected for a small New Mexico town I thought it was worth every penny.

I had the best buritto I’ve ever had here and you can have them made to order – just how you like them.

The server was very helpful and patient and I will absolutely be back.

This is a small family restaurant that my husband and I love to visit whenever we drive through town from Santa Fe. I love the chile relleno. It is has just the right amount of flavor, spice, cheese and breading. The enchiladas are excellent too. The food is consistent, great quality and value. The last time we stopped in was 2021 and it is just as great in 2025. Staff is nice and attentive.

Outstanding food, outstanding service, large selection, and fair prices is what you can expect from this cozy little Mexican restaurant.

The menu is large in terms of offerings and size. The tacos are excellent both the roast beef and ground beef. The cheese enchiladas, Chile Relleno, and tamales were just as excellent.

The first thing you notice is the outstanding service and the chips and red sauce that are delivered upon your sitting. The red sauce is a little on the spicy side, but addicting.

Overall, the restaurant offers great food at reasonable prices. If you decide to give them a chance, I’m sure you will enjoy the dinning experience.

I’ve eaten here a few times but I wasn’t going to review this place ever but today I had a very bad experience with a worker I’d like to share. I’m a door dash driver while I attend school to be able to support myself and today November 23rd at about 12:45 I had an order I had to pick up. I am usually very easy going and I rarely get upset with workers because I’ve had to work a lot of stressful low paying jobs so I don’t get on people like that. The order had 3 bags I went to pick up the three bags, I asked if one of the bags was part of the order before I grabbed it, and the lady angrily said “no, it’s three bags and it’s coming out” so I waited, then the lady started going off on me about door dash drivers forgetting bags resulting in her getting bad reviews, well now you get a new one congrats. She was acting like I single handedly was the door dash driver getting her bad reviews. Then she hands me the EXACT three god damn bags I asked if were the order earlier and was told no and then given that whole rant. You deserve bad reviews you have awful service, and from my experience the food is dry, bland, came out cold after a long wait and overpriced for what it is. Go to las victors and get good Mexican food. I will NEVER support your business, you treat people with respect or you get people who don’t like you.

Far West Texas Honest Reviews

We ordered menudo, cheeseburger with onion rings and quesadilla tacos with roast meat. The food was amazing. The hostess that seated us and the waitress were the absolute sweetest. The restaurant was very clean and inviting. The red chile in the menudo was a good hot. The burger was in house pressed beef and the quesadilla tacos were toasted to perfection and the meat was tender and juicy. The burger and onion ring picture posted brought us in to the restaurant but we will definitely be back.
